What set of bindings should i get? I've read the guide to what binding thread- which was very helpful- but can't decide between these three. I've heard some good reviews about the PX 12s. The sth12s are slightly cheaper, but not to sure about the quality of them. The rossignols are also a good bit more expensive than the other two. I'm 5'10, 150lbs, ski predominately rails and boxes, apart from one week out of the year. I've just snapped both salomon bindings (Z10s? i think) that i had on my ar6s, and also broke my previous marker bindings, a ridiculous amount of times. not sure if that's down to me or shit bindings. Anyway i need a set of durable bindings, any advice would be appreciated +k.

look px and rossi axial2 are the same binding, i don't know anything about the freeski 200, but i'm pretty sure its an 18 din binding, and i doubt you need an 18 din binding with your weight.

go with a mojo 12, or any head tyrolia binding... proven design by the worlds number one binding manufacture

I haven't seen mojo 12 in person but I'm sure that it's pure plastic. 15 and 18 are metal. If you ever held one of those you know thats quality.

Px12 over sth12oversize any day. Iuse the axail2 which as someone mentioned above is the same binding as the px12. In all honesty they're the best low din binding I've used, they seem pretty durable despite being lightweight also I've had more prerelease problems with marker jester16s than I have with axail2s/px12

Thanks everyone +k. The STH16 drivers have just been reduced to round about the same price as the px12s. Would that be a better choice? i noticed the din starts at 9 but, maybe a little high for my weight?

Well, theoretically if you set your dins at 9 you could use a 9-16 binding (I weigh 145 and mine are set at 8-9.). But, you don't need a binding with that high of a din. I would go px/axial 12 or sth DRIVER 12 either will serve you fine. I know nothing about the Tyrolias. If you google shopping px12s there are some out there for like 150-175$

They are your best bet. If you're worried about the din, look into the 14 Driver. I'll post a link of them on sale for $200 once I'm not on mobile

one to add: look pivots/rossi fks. I hear tons of good things about them, and they must be good to have a design basically unchanged for so many years. i personally have not used them yet, but i just got a pair to use next season on my new skis. any reviews i've heard of them say they are very durable. but like i said before , i have not used them personally yet, so if you are interested, talk to someone who knows more about them and has some experience with them.

Cheers. It's only the sth 16 drivers that are on sale the sth12 drivers are still the same price. So it's between the sth16 driver and look px 12. Thinking i'll probably get the sth 16s but. Thanks for everyone's help.

In fact there's probably no need for me to have a din that high, i usually don't have mine higher than 9 anyway. PX12's are probably a more appropriate choice and slightly cheaper, sorry for the dub post. Thanks to the guy who said he post the sth12 drivers for $200 but i live in the uk, shipping would be too expensive.

Ok: I've never had problems with the Px 12s, especially for someone my size, you'll like them, pretty solid

except you never want to have the spring maxed out in either direction, when there isn't any give, or in this case no resistance the binding doesn't do its job as well

Bump. Sorry but does anyone know if a 100mm brakes will be a problem on ar6s. I called the shop but the guy didn't know (ski tech wasn't in). Apparently the shop is about to sell out of px12s. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

isn't this only at the top end of the din range? i think onenerdykid posted something to that effect. when it is maxed out there is no elasticity and the binding releases improperly. however, at the lowest setting, i believe he said it shouldn't be a problem. i'm not saying this is correct, i'm just paraphrasing his words (if i remember them correctly). if i'm wrong here, correct me onenerdykid.
