Look pivot

so i went to my local ski shop for some bindings.

i asked the shop guy and he told me they have pivots. i was like yea, i had heard how good and rare pivots are nowerdays. so he took me to the back room(they were not yet bringed out for display) and there was this box full of bindings.

and then...

there were like 4 types of look pivots with a din of 12(the right din for me), all different color and a bit different shape. so here i ask:

are these all okay(becouse the price started at 173 and ended with faboulous 243)???

what do the real freestyle pivots look like?

so the fs binding in pivot series is called px?

and all the other are race and stuff?or are they also okay for jumping?

nonono....the PX bindings were released after they discontinued the Pivots. PX's are not pivots.

Look's freestyle Pivot bindings are called the "Look P12 Jib"....to tell you the truth there's not much difference between the P12 Jibs and the normal P12's...they both pivot and have the same mechanism but the only "major" difference is the the P12 Jibs have a padding layer between your boot and the ski to absorb impact. I've ridden on P12's (non-Jib) for years and they are amazing for freestyle regardless....

thank you so much, that made a perfect sense.

so the only thing i have to really consider when buying PIVOTS is that the DIN would be right for me, the model(and name) isnt that important?

yes, as long as they are a 12 din, which is what you say you want, they are all pretty much the smae, minus color choices.

pretty much. unless you are looking at the race stock bindings pretty much all the other pivots are the same really.

Yeah, all the P heels were pretty much the same. More expensive ones might have those tracks that change the flex of the ski, aparently. Get the cheap ones.

clear for me now. thank you everybody!

ill go to to shop as soon as i can, buy the bindings, let them mount them and go SKIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
