Look pivot toe piece damaged?

Long story short I made the terrible decision of guinea pigging a big step down. My dumbass friends built a way too poppy jump on a steep ass hill with barely any tranny lol. Im no pussy so I hit the shit and popped hard because I didn't want to knuckle it. I ended up parallel to the ground and landed right on my back and got the wind knocked out of me for like 10 seconds. Probably woulda been better if I tucked for backie tbh. Anyway, once I gathered myself after the painful fall directly to my back, I noticed that my toe piece was twisted to a 45 degree angle :(. I've never heard of this being a feature of my bindings, so I'm wondering if it's supposed to happen or not. I popped in back into place, and only part of it twisted which led me to believe it's supposed to happen. The only noticeable damage is a tiny crack on the top of the toe piece, about a quarter inch. I really hope they aren't broken. Are they ok to ski?

I'm guessing you have the 12 or 14 DIN version. If so, then it was the toe wing that flipped up, and yes, they're supposed to do that, you just stomp on the toe piece to pop it back in place.

Yeah they're the 14s thanks for the info +k.

Glad I didn't already fuck them up after 2 months

Update: I 450d a jump and the toe piece twisted again, and the little crack on the piece of plastic between the din display caused a portion of the plastic piece to come off. I'll post a picture later. Will I need a new toe piece?

Haha! I'm sure you will be able to find FKS toepieces closer than Italy.

This happened to me justa few days ago and they are supposed to do this but I'd watch the crack if they turn out breaking then send them to look or call them and they should fix them very fast or just replace the piece and you'll be all set.
