Look pivot heel arms

Just bought new boots, did a pivot adjustment myself (going to bring them into the shop tomorrow after skiing) is this chill? The foward pressure indicator is lined up correctly in the middle of the black markers. Wondering if the heel arms are screwed on too tight or not though? Lmk

Are they bottomed out?

I’m moreso worried if it would damage the heel if my boot or something, like where the heel binding bites into the top part of the heel

with the boot in the binding, push the dildo down like 20* and let go, it should snap back quickly into place if its correct.

Bet yea it doesn’t really snap back into place unfortunately, but it is hard to move the dildo side to side

ok, your wings might be too tight then... back the wings off a little bit until you get a nice dildo snap back move to it.

If the dildo isn’t popping right back up into place then the FP is off. Back the arms out a tad and try again. The white tap is typically useless for judging adjustments. It’s not super accurate.

if it’s way too tight you should see a little dent happening pretty quick on the boot

im pretty confident if you just backed off the wings a bit, it would be correct.

Yea I think so too, but it seems weird to have the arms screwed almost all the way in, when I’ve always seen you are supposed to see at least one set of the perforated part

the wings get tighter if the BSL of the boot your using, is shorter than the BSL it was originally mounted for.

Yea ik… but I’ve never seen anyone ride pivots with the arms fully screwed in

People ride them both at the bottom and the top. You usually see the middle because that’s normally where it’s set when they get mounted in the middle of the adjustment range so you can go up or down if needed. If you then go to a smaller bsl you have to go down on the arms. Or longer if you get to a larger bsl.
