Look Pivot 18 heel piece plastic quality

Had like 20 days on p18s and 5 seasons on attacks 13. What is that quality?

(Yes, I step out of my bindings using poles).

Means nothing. Just cosmetic. On mine the plastic is almost all broken off on both heels and they still work fine. I wouldn’t sweat it.

Don't worry, eventually the metal will break too. Pivots are junk these days.

It’s more because they color white plastic. Look at any binding and they’re chewed up there. Just most use black died plastic so you won’t notice it as much.

new pivots have metal inserts to fix this.

Not a big deal, the plastic covers are mostly cosmetic. You'll eventually poke through the plastic and then it'll be a straight shot to where the din indicator connects to the din screw, which could be a problem if you ever want to change your din. Maybe start using the grip side of your pole instead of the pokey side. Or just stomp on them like a normal person
