i am thinking about getting some decent powder skis and what binding i should use, i am thinking look pivot 14 because i can't find the 10 or the 12 if they make it, but the price is holding me back. I know they are durable and safe so I think it would be worth it if they are nice and lightbut is the pivot pretty heavy in comparison to other bindings (currently i have mounted px jib 12 and some markers... I find the markers heavier but maybe it's the skis??)thanksI am not made of money so I don't want to spend more than the pivot costs on backcountry, around 320, money is an issue

they suck to step into in soft snow, first of all. i have pivot 14s on my park skis, but px14s on my pow skis, and given the choice, i'd do the same thing again. the only thing that i don't like about the px14 is that the pivot 14 has a wider afd. if you can get your shop to swap out/order you the wider non-sliding afd, the px14 is awesome. the heel is much more laterally rigid, and i think skis better in general.
go ahead NS, hate me for liking something aside from pivots.

Find FKS 120's and just bend the brakes. Much cheaper that way. Thats what I did, found some fks 120 world cups for $80 and bent the brakes to fit my surface ll2's.

thanks man. I found some FKS WCs on pinkbike for cheap, and hopefully I can grab those.thanks to all for the input!!
