Look P12: Lifter or..?

I guess this was already discussed like 1000 times before, but i honestly havent found anything. Yeah yeah searchbar hates meh..

So the thing is, i can get some Look P12 Lifter from my local shop (yes the 04-05 Pivot ones Not the PX), but im a bit concerned with the Lifter tag.

Whats the Real difference between Lifter and Jib models? Can i just mount the binding Without Lifter? Is there any difference between "Lifter mounted without Lifter" and Jib then? And whats the difference in height with and without lifter anyway?

Or should i just screw old stuff and go buy some Griffons/Mojo15/whatever else?

just mount them without the lifter....it will be just like the jib series bindings....just make sure the shop knows to grind the screws down if you mount without lifters, because they will be far too long
 
they are fine without the lifter. just make sure to get different screws when you mount them. its more about preference. i would rather be as close to my skis as possible.
 
Small'o'bump

Anyone else? What would you say 'bout P12 comparing to newer models, like PX and Griffons? Still worth buying?
