i went into a store and checked em out, the salomons are wayyyyy lighter but the looks appear rock solid like they would never break. could you help me decide between these two?

(if it helps they will be mounted on fischer addicts 181)

looks neew technology sucks the ive seen three heel peice's break

and for the price of the p12 jib you can buy the salomon s914 which is a better binding in my view

i have that mounted on my pipe cleaners

i went with the salomon but i know a rep so it was obviously cheaper, but i think i would still go with that if i paid full retail.

the opposite has happened to me ive broken three pars of s912's and i have had my p12 jibs have lasted for a year and a half

i have both, and havent had any problems with either. all i know is that i hurt me knee with p12s, but i never did with salos....but anyway, theyre bot really good, but the salos require (simple) maintenance to perform well.

from what i have herd p12s are bomb proof and ive broken the 912 and i am 5'6 and 120lbs so i would say p12 or 914 no 912

i would go with the s912 iv had them the last couple years and iv never had a problem with them.

They are definitely PX12 jibs, and there is definitely a difference between the PX and just the P's. That being said, go out, buy the Looks, and kick yourself for considering the Salos. Unless you enjoy not being able to land switch without popping out, or losing skis everytime you land backseat, buy the Looks. You will destroy the Salo's (unless you ride way more BC/freeride than park) and the Looks will never break. Im going on my 2nd season on my PX12 jibs and they have little more than a scratch and I've blown through s912's like nothing.

salomon doesn't make the s series anymore. they switched to the z series binding. hands down the best binding. so stiff in the toe. you wont b popping out of salomon bindings like they did before.

really??? i know that they are new cause i saw them in the store, just wasnt sure of the name. i didnt know they were improved though. if so i might have to go with the salos cause they are soooo much lighter

i bought a pair of look p12s last year and and i landed back seat after doing a decent sized 180 i popped out im my skis and the brake broke. look did replace the brake thou and besides that i love em

the s912 and the s914 is the same binding, just cause the din goes to 14 does not make it better.

the z12 has a completely new toe piece, and from everything ive heard, its far superior. no more of that typical solly toe-wiggle. plus its retardely light. i say pull the trigger on those as opposed to the px series.

yea dude thats why i like it. its so light, and compared to it the look feels like a lead weight. ther really heavy, and as long as the salomons are fixed i think the lightness factor is pretty important.

Look bindings are crap. I've had Look bindings before and cracked my nuts on the heel piece that sticks up. Get the Salomon bindings you saw. i got this years salomon binding which is the Salomon Z12 Ti B100

so much misinformation...

S914s are not any better than S912s. The 916 is a different design, but any solly binding under that is terrible.

hating on solomon is sooooo cool... the z12's and s916's are really good bindings, much better than the px12's imo
