So I just got some Brand new Look P10s, And Im wondering if it would be ok to mount the heal peice without the riser plate. Without it it makes the toepeice and the heel peice almost level, So i think it would be better like that in the park if its possible. There going on Line Anthems if that matters.
 
you DO NOT want lifter plates for park... closer to the snow the better, you have more control on rails and landing jumps/ rails. and if you were to take just the heel lifter plate off then it would mess up you stance on your skis. make sure if you want to take the heel lifter plate off then take the toe lifter plate off to or vis/versa
 
Yeah, just taking off one lifter plate will throw off the ramp angel of your bindings. When you go to get them mounted, let the tech know you want them mounted flat, or not lifted. They should have some screws, or will grind down the stock screws.
 
Thats what im saying, When I take off the heel lifter plate, the ramp angle is back to zero. So the heel peice and the toe peice would be the same height. What im asking is would it be bad to have it mounted like that, or is the heel peice supposed to be the 6 or so millimeters higher then the toe peice?
 
Sorry for asking, you dont need to be a dick about it. Ive never had pivots before and I just wanted to be sure.
 
to answer your question, no, you don't want to just take the heel lifters off. you either mount with or without all lifters. Almost all bindings are designed to have a slight forward tilt, in that the heelpiece sits slightly higher than the toe piece. Without getting techy, It's for putting your stance slighty forward towards the sidecut of the ski so you have more efficient power transfer into your edging. I try to mount all my bindings w/o lifters, but if you can't, it's not big deal and it doesn't make that big of a difference.
 
So should I just bring them in without the lifters in the first place? Or would they possibly not mount them if I did that?
 
dont bring em cause chances are a shop guy will see them and mount them no matter what you asked or your slip says. they will do it, its just preference
