Look p10 heelpiece slop

I've got a pair of Look P10 bindings mounted up on some jib skis.

I noticed that the heelpiece on them has some lateral play. You can rock it back and forth from one side of the ski to the other a little.

I thought it was strange until I noticed my Rossi Axial 110's do the same thing. I don't remember this ever being the case with other bindings, but then these two sets are the only ones I've ever owned with a pivoting heelpiece.

Is this wiggle room normal?

lol, I'm not talking about the pivot motion that rotates about the heelpiece.

I'm talking about if you lay the ski down flat, grab the banding and wiggle it like you're going to try and roll the ski over on edge. There's some play in the binding on both skis.

When the boot is locked into the binding I can rock it the same way as a result of the binding. It's just not a tight interface to the ski is all.

Just wondering if its normal :) I can't say it's affected my skiing, but I was wondering if it was something mechanically wrong that I'd just not noticed before.

Thanks!

yup. its normal. it you ride looks back to back with like salomons or something more traditional, you can definatly feel the more preciseness of the traditional bindings. the FKS series has a much more direct connection.
