2 huge holes in the sidewalls just behind the bindings on both skis. I wasnt riding them hard atall, just doing some boxes and thats it.

^ idk man.

all i was doing was a flat box, an up-flat-down box, and a jump(not very big one).

once i caught my ski on the side of the box and prolly thats where i got one hole from, however i've got no idea how i got it on the second ski...

well first of all, its 'crichton'. secondly, your edges are still intact, so thats good. i'd say you either smashed the sidewall of it pretty badly to get that hole, and you aren't telling us the truth...or you bought a defective pair.

That's almost certainly a defective pair. By which I mean "regular stock".

... Even dynastars shouldn't break that easily, obvious warrantee case. Though if you mention rails they probably still won't give it to you even though that's clearly not your fault after 2 days unless you ran over them with a pickup.

There is NO way you did that without hitting them on something. It's not possible. The one delam looks like backseat landing...that one may be of warrantee...but the whole in the sidewall? You DEFINITELY hit that on a rock, a box, a rail or something...

Secondly, if Dynastar doesn't warrant defective skis that have been slid on rails...you're already too late. they always read these forums. next time you should probably just send to the company rather than posting on here...

If you sincerely did neither of those...I appologize...but I've never seen a ski break like that unless it hit something.

kinda funny, my laroses edges fell out today, but i got a good season and a bit on them...not like im looking for a warantee or anything i hit soooooo many rails on them, they are amazing skis too

well, i hoped you learnt not to smash your smis on the skis of boxes. Those aern't even rail damage holes, it's just "I'm and idiot and can't take care of my skis" damage.

i find it funny that both areas of damage are lined up perfectly.

so dude, tell us the whole story.

as i said before, i hit one ski on the box and i think i got that hole from that, however the 2nd one - just no idea.

im working at the store(skiis and biikes), which has a great realationship with dynasta, so i'll warantee them no question.

and sorry, for the misspelling, i thoyught its "crighton".

I thought backseat landing the second I looked at them, actually. Even the hole in the sidewall looks sort of like it could be tension in that picture considering how spiffy and new the edge appears to be, but it is a strange break. Faulty core might explain that?

Anyway, posting this was probably not the best idea, but after 2 days he really does deserve a warrantee pair, even if they do have room to weasel out of it.

one of those skis looks exactly like the break i had happen to a pow air back in the day..... right behind the binding.... its from landing in the backseat or casing a bit on the lip of the pipe.

ANother fine examlple of dynastar's quality... I broke trouble makers in 3 weeks. And no warranty either.

Little known fact: DYNASTAR was originally supposed to be named DYNASTY but due to a great uproar in the ACP (Advancement of Colored People) saying publically, "Yo crackers, dat be our wurdz an' shit, yo," DYNASTER obviously obliged to change the name in order to gain a positive public response.

my lbf cracked the sidewall both ways in a cross, vertically and horozontally, edge stayed in tact. Had them rebuilt back up around the area, took a month and 30 layers of epoxy and sidewall material. Didn't warranty those b/c the shop told me they wouldn't accept it.

There was def a screw stickin out of that box and you def snagged it twice or more.

Warranty is dependent upon the shop, at the shop I use now I have warrantied tms that were 4 years old with the smooth topsheet that had hundreds of days on them, got new binding too and nothing was even wrong with those, just couldn't dismount.

dude.. thats from not knowing how to do anything on skis.. i have TM's and they are holding up great.. no problem with the edges and none of that shit in the picture.. thats someone not making it onto a rail and slammin into the end of it like a retard

thats what is pissing me off- i didnt get on the box properly ONCE(hit the side) and i agree that i could've made one hole in the sidewall, BUT the rest of my day was perfect! like i didnt hit my skis on anything and i dont know how i got the second hole...

sheesh, i did those to my cross country skis, but those are made essentially out of cardboard and a tiny bit of plastic. send those back.
