I wanna be disliked too!!! look bindings blow. I've never skied them but little_whateverhisnamewas doesn't like them, and that is good enough for me. down with look. oh yeah, rossi sucks, dynastar sucks, and any other popular ski company sucks. why? because I said so.

people dont like you because you come on here say that youre good enough to get sponsored and follow that up with a bunch of uneducated posts that should be kept to yourself.

Time for a bit of post/ego destruction

1.)They break easier than twigs

Actually, the only fault Look has had in a long time has been the plastic circle that holds the heel peice's lever on. And that was corrected in a matter of half a season and I believe this only happened on lower end Looks.

The bindings you used are made to be cheap and mass produced to fit the need of the recreational, unexperianced skier who is looking to buy a budget binding to supplement his Dynastar Snaps or Agyls (or some other equally shitty/beginner ski)

If you are as good as you claim, you should be on AT THE VERY LEAST, p10's, because those bindings ARE MANUFACTURED to preform to those standards. It's like bringing a pair of 720's and skiing them in AK.

2.)You cant land a big table without something going wrong.

List some examples, I've landed on many big tables (60+ ft) with my P10's and never have had something go wrong.

3.)The brake wont stay on.

Stay on? Brakes don't just brake off... return your bindings to the shop and Look or the shop will return them.

4.)THEY ARE CHEAP PLASTIC

What bindings aren't made of plastic?

Oh yeah, and take a look at the high end Look's, (the ZZ R, I think).. those certainly arent made of cheap plastic.

5.)They are annoying to get on, and wont come off when you need them too.

To snap in, put toe of boot in toepiece. Press your heel down

To get out, press the rear lever down. Are you the Rainman or something? WOPNER WOPNER!! haha... idiot.

Haha Walker your just pissed because you dont have any of the good ol' P 18's son!!

Maybe I'll give you a pair...maybe

I completly agree, ive had looks this past season and they were a complete pain in the ass. Whether it was the brake snapping off, the binding itself just messing up on landings, or just being a hassle to put on and off.

Interesting, I have had the exact same problems with SALOMON bindings, both the S810 ti (mounted on K2 Public Enemy and K2 Silencer skis) and S912 ti models (mounted on K2 Silencer skis.) In both cases, the bindings released inconsistently (while carving off of jumps, while on rails, on landings of even small rails and jumps, and in countless other situations.) While I'm glad the ligaments in my kness are ok, I've suffered countless bruises and scrapes on seemingly unnecessary binding releases. The brakes on both bindings have had to be replaced on average probably twice a month during the ski season, because they explode constantly (mostly on switch landings.) You could probably make 3 dozen Salomon brakes from the pieces scattered around the mountain I ski at. The thin metal tracks that the heelpieces sit on on both sets of bindings crack on a regular basis, and the cheap plastic risers that they sit on break into little pieces. In addition to these problems, the toe height constantly has to be adjusted. I've noticed all of these problems not only with my own Salomon bindings, but with those of siblings and friends as well, especially on the z10ti and z12ti bindings.

I've seen Look PX12 Jib and PX12 bindings stand up to 2 full seasons of park skiing almost every day with no mishaps.

In Salomon's favor, they have a good 5 year warranty from date of purchase on their bindings, which they have honoured each time I've claimed for it. Rossignol (Look) bindings that I've owned have broken as well (ones with a plastic body), where the actual plastic has shattered. I've also read numerous complaints about Marker bindings on this website, as well as VIST/4frnt/movement and tyrolia/head bindings. Maybe we can conclude that ALL bindings suck.

P.S, Matt Walker you're one of my favourite skiers to watch, and you seem to have a generally positive attitude. I respect your experience-based opinion regarding the product you specified in this thread. This is not in any way a statement against you personally, but it seems to me that you are bashing a popular binding brand based on an experience with a low end model in their line, with the possible intent to direct business to a company that you represent, and which from my experience makes very poor quality bindings.

these threads remind me of the memory bowl thing from Dumbledore's office in Harry Potter.... the pensieve is what it's called. I propose that we call old bumped threads "pensieves", henceforth.

Look bindings are the best ones u can get!but just when u can get the old pivot 18 racing, that´s like the best binding ever done, it just opens when it haves too....tanner and tj and all those guys where riding them back in the day!

just the px bindings...the ones from nowadays are shit, the stoppers are breaking and they open if u hit to big jumps, thats true for sure!

but if u can get a old pivot 18, that´s like the best one ever!try them!

Wow, and I thought the Durtschi thread bump was good. This is amazing. Hall of fame material.

i got a pair of new look px jibs on my new moments last season and the brake broke off the first day of the season on a rail and when i went to get it fixed my other brake was breaking off

was it about getting someonewith a truck to get some snow and shoot urban and he was like going to play basketabll or something? cuz that thread was fucking hilarious

arnt you a pro for salomon, meaning you got salomon 16 bindings. which are sick. And look has the best bindings to date, they just dont make them anymore. P18. You would think you would know a thing or two about products that have to do with the sport you love.
