LOOK bindings suck

Look bindings suck. The only thing good is that they are lightweight.

1.)They break easier than twigs

2.)You cant land a big table without something going wrong.

3.)The brake wont stay on.

4.)THEY ARE CHEAP PLASTIC

5.)They are annoying to get on, and wont come off when you need them too.

FUCK!!

maybe its cause your a OH BOY! MY CUPCAKES ARE READY!

R. Kelly, R. Kelly, I wanna lick yo bawl sweat

scuse me, escuse me, i need to get by now

which particular binding are you talking about?

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

...what??? All I know is I have tried 2 pairs of skis with look bindings (Salomon, and Line). I went off a table with the Salomons, and they brake came off as soon as I landed. Then with the Lines I did a rail an the middle of the binding snaped in half. I have used Salomons forever and I have had one minor binding break and I fixed that on the hill.

well then you are retarded

the bindings are gonna suck on any ski you demo, because they are DEMO bindings. Looks good bindings i.e. p12, p14, zr, are some of the best bindings you can buy, i got to try out my new concepts with p12s yesterday and my skiing improved probably ten fold

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

yeah they probably suck because when you look at all the published photos of the pros 75% of them have look bindings, so they must be really bad considering they are used by some of the best skiers out there consistenly and the skiers arent even sponsored by look

Got Yoohoo?

i guess what im trying to say is that, every binding company makes a few shitty models, they are cheap and target the strictly recreational skier, but get a pair of p14s and you will not be dissappointed

your leg will snap before they do

haha, yeah good luck breaking those p14s . . . they are definitely not made out of plastic

here is why you are having those problems.

1. Bindings were not adjusted properly

2. That is an Intermediate binding, not for performance use (big air)

3. DIN Setting was not adjusted properly for type of skiing

4. Old Look bindings did have brake problem. They were re-called, problem is a thing of the past.

5. You dont realize the technology that is in the safety behind Look and Rossi Pivot bindings. Any other binding will rip your ACL to shreds, and the pivot heel will significantly decrease that risk, on a twisting fall.

thats about all i can say to ya bro.

'Tell me one thing you're gonna need this stupid fucking rope for!'

Hey bud, just to let you know Rossignol owns Look but they do it at a distant arms length. The bindings are identical- same technology.

oh my god...simply rediculous

Oh yeah, since your skiing on 145's and 156's or somethin' your probably a pretty small guy. You definitely do not need the P14's.

paint chips?!?! oh no!

i have a pair or rossi bindings and i couldnt be happier.

I hope their 2 piece, cause 1 piece bindings with the plates and all suck on twins. 2 piece give more flex and are more forgiving, and all that flex helps the ski mold perfectly to the pipe wall. Anyways, yeah they hafta be good if all the pros use them. Im using new rossi fdx100's which i got for 19 bux USD at a local sports store, they should work fiine for me. You don't hafta go all out for the best bindings, sometimes cheaper the better. I can also afford to trash 19 dollar bindings all i want, if they break, no big deal. They have blue and yellow pieces on them which didnt really sell well, thats why they're soo cheap. If you dont like the look bindings, dont get them. Its that simple, you'll find a better deal if you look around for one (no pun intended).

i was just about to say...Look is owned by Rossi, which is why no one is sponsored by Look.

ya Look is affiliated with Lange and Dynastar. Thats why on all Dynastars adds their skis have LOOK binding on them.

look manufactures bindings for rossi, but they aren't otherwise affiliated. kinda like how reichle makes the line boot for line.

ya, little_shit, I already said that, no need to repeat. And Look bindings don't suck. I've always used them, and the only pair I've broken were a cheap pair of P9's, and they broke after an EXTREMELY hard fall. Look replaced them for free. They are the best binding for park skiing right now because of what spinks stated, the pivot heel, which prevents knee injuries. Also, they have no plate, and allow the ski to flex to its capacity. Ask any ski shop tech about which binding to get for twintip skis (knowledgable ones anyways) and they will state Looks.

use either p10 p12 or p14 the only differences is the din setting 10,12,or 14 din.

dont get the maxplate cus that has a lifter which you dont want.

looks are the best right now but lets see about the line reactor

if anyone cares you get the odd shitty one even when the actual model is good. I had Salomon Equippe 9hundredwhathaveyou and on DIN14 the bitch opened as I dropped a minor cliff. I still have that scar on my nose. From that point on the bindings kept randomly releasing. In general I have made good experiences with Salomon but am skiing BC most of tha time.

can you please explain how a binding can improve your skiing ten fold. unless you were skiing on 2x4's before with your feet ducktaped to them, no ski will make you ski ten times better. its all in your head.

yeah man its the dumbest shit I ever heard too. Hopefully he gets paid to LOOK stupid on the thread.

well, from all of little_shit's posts i thought to myself, 'this kid sucks' but at the same time i was like, 'hey, he's just a kid' BUT, after this post i will have to say that in fact you, little_shit, do suck...a lot and should not talk for eternity unless someone wants to hear you bitch and complain.

what happends when you aren't little any more?

i lso have the p 12... awesome binding... look bindings are really good, at least thy have been good to me

Chicken Wang?

Look binding may be good, no doubt about it but I just dont like the 'appearance' of them.. If they had a different style I would consider getting hooked up with a pair. Sure appearance doesnt really count when it comes to technology but on the other hand, Im not going to pay the big bucks for something that I dont like the look of.

-Randy

hey, we sell both salamon and line bindings at the shop i work at in killington

lines are definately the way to go, as far as safety and function go (the two piece bindings)...the only other option would be the line binding, which we still dont have in, and i kinda question the tech behind it

but u can beat the piss out of the look, i put a pair of Dybvig's old look bindings on this years skogens (bought them for 30 bucks at the ski sale off of him) and their damn good, even after he skied them in the bumps for god knows how long

thats just a testament to their durability

hey you are probably right...I did have some shitty demo LOOKs, but thats my opinion it doesnt mean I suck at skiing, I just dont like LOOKs. Its just a fucking opinion.

yes it is an opinion, a very uneducated one. you come on this board and complain about your demo shit, saying it sucks for no reason, you have no idea how the good product performs. think before you say anything, or post anything in our case.

as for the line bindings, they dosounds very good, but id be skeptical how good they will be their first year. im sure they will be very good bindings, but it takes a while to perfect something.

MUNKYMASTA...i wasn't complaining, im just saying that all of the plastic (not paint) on the inside of my skis came off
