Look Bindings Question

Hi NS,I have an older pair of look pivot 10's (don't think they even make a 10 din anymore) and want to move them to a newer ski. I think the brakes are 80mm or so and I want to put them on a 92 waist ski. I searched look binding brakes and found some 100mm ones but they said look PX, not look Pivots. Would anyone know if you could use PX brakes on pivots? Reason why is I'd rather spend 50$ on new brakes than buying a whole new pair of bindings.

K+ for help

PX and Pivots are completely different bindings. It wouldn't work. But you could maybe take apart the PX brake and put in the wider brake arms into the old Pivot brake housing.

Are the the FKS style pivot or the axial pivot? Regardless, px brakes only fit on px bindings. And no, it's very hard to take the brakes apart and a shop is not going to do that. The old style brakes are very bendy so you shouldn't have trouble bending them to fit your new skis.

We are talking about 6mm a side here. Mount the binding, put a piece of thin pipe (or a snapped ski pole) over the brake arm and pull it out a bit. Done.
