13926509:Rparr said:Well there's your problem, you need ant sized skis
13926512:Mekhed_ said:Believe it or not i was stupid enough to get them larger because i thought that they would give me the stability the blends lack. Also im gonna send it in the park this year so a longer ski would help me with the landings and learnings. Well guess i fcked up. Gonna have to man up
13926513:Rparr said:Haha relax, I was just making a joke because you listed your height in centimeters. I feel like my old high school science teacher now. I assume you meant meters, those skis are fine
The blends are super soft skis. Don't get me wrong, having super soft skis certainly has a negative effect on your all mountain capabilities, but if your skis are long enough then they should be ok. Super flexy skis that are on the shorter side are not good for your skiing because you'll flex out if you land backseat or noseheavy switch, and the skis will be very unstable when you're charging fast. But if your blends are taller than you then youre probably fine.13926499:Mekhed_ said:Fml dude are they THAT bad for all mount? 13926879:CalumSKI said:Are 160s good for someone who is 5'5?
13926883:SofaKingSick said:short answer: yeah they'll be fine
long answer: a good rule of thumb is to start with your height and add or subtract length based on skill level, style, preferences, what you use them for etc. so youre 165cm, but if youre new ish to the sport, or prefer shorter skis, 160 will be fine. if youre growing you might want to size up a tiny bit so you don't outgrow them super quickly though
13926890:CalumSKI said:been skiing since i was 2 and a half and been skiing park for 4 years so im not new but i will get 160s so i can grow in to them
13926891:SofaKingSick said:well you wouldn't grow into 160s, those will be a little short on you to start. but that won't be a big issue at all unless you are going huge or really prefer longer skis
13926894:CalumSKI said:im only 15 and havent had my growth spurt yet so i think i would grow
