ik u guyz r prolly pissed about seeing another thread about ski length but just hear me out. ok so im 5'3 and my skis now r to my mouth(ik thats way to small) i ski 60% percent park and 40% all mountain im getting a 155 and a 159 for next season.

i heard from alot of ppl that spinning wýth longer skis is harder, so im thinking about exercising my legs more so i can spin easier, like running a mile 3-4 times a week in the summer, and do weight training for my legs in the fall. is this a good idea or am i overreacting a little. feedback wuld be much apprecýated. o and weight 110 and in all mountain im advanced but im kinda new to the park
 
longer skis are a little bit harder to ride on, or to do tricks on, but it looks a lot better. but it's no problem, just look at some of the pros - candide rides on ridiculously long skis. I would go for longer skis. I'm 5'5 and ride on 166 and it's good.
 
it just depends what u like i hate short skis i ride a bigger ski... an dont do all the running just chill... u will get use 2 it... u prolly wont even notice it that much
 
i'm 6'6-7'' and ride 190's & 182's in the park, but thats just because i donn't have much of an option.
 
Im 5' 7' and I ride 162's. `If I was there to buy them I probally would ave went with a little bit taller so I can grow into them but im fine with my skis
 
5'7" and last season i rode 169's for park and 183's for fun. next season im riding a pair of 183 park skis and a pair of 183 fat skis.
 
are you joking me, you buy skis that look good instead of how they perform. That was by far one of the stupidest comments i have ever seen. Im 6'1 and ski 165-198, i ski those lengths because they are the proper sizes that allow me to get the most out of the grear
 
5'12 (cause im not really 6 ft. yet) and i ski 168 fer urbans and about 180 fer the rest.
 
6'2" (but i was 6'1" during ski season)

ride 172 for park (they're old, that'll change when i get money that i don't have to spend on school)

175 for everything else. i'll probably go to about 185 for my next ski. they're comfy right now tho, good for trees and stuff.
 
i had 171 last yr. im 5'4 i dont like longer skis now so thats why im goin in the 160s this season.
 
no no, you got me all wrong. I think a trick looks stylier on longer skis than if I'd be riding on 155s or something like that. of course I don't buy skis out of good looks instead of performance. nomensteven knows what I'm talking about
 
5'3, good lord i hope your 14... and I like a longer ski for more control. true may be lil harder to spin but u get used to it in a few days
