Longer Skis....More Comfortable

Now im not one of those kids who thinks that longers skis just make you cool. but for 2 days i had to ride longer skis cause mine were in the shop. when i got back on mine it felt like they were really light, and i was having trouble with switch landings, it seems like longer skis just have more ski for you to land on, i dunno........

i thought my skis were long when i bought them lastyear but now theyre tiny,theyre 163s,i need new ones but no point now the seasons over in 3 weeks

Longer skis are way more awkward for me. I demoed a 182 and couldnt do turns very easily. I got 176's.

idhave to agree. i hate my 169 1080's. i have no confidence with them. the tail is like a wet noodle and theres nothing to land on. and i love machingdown the hill just pulling tricks off of everything so i definatly need a longer ski. maybe 175 tm or 181 1080. anyone know when there comming out with a 180 tm?

 
i like my 164's. Longer skis gave me a little more control on steaper runs but i like the short length. I'm probably gonna go up to 171's or something next year.

I used to have 176 skogen sprangs but I broke those this year and got 160 mavericks. I find even though I spin slower, that I have more control over my spins and that they're overall better. With the exception of pipe, I liked my longer skis better in the pipe.

 
long skis are definetly more comfortable for me, the skis seem more stable when theyre longer

I have 164 1260s. i love them for park. but i've found that longer skis are better for everything else.

180 seems perfect for me, and i love concepts they are the shit compared to my skogens, skogens feel like wet noodles and they ski like 120's cause the tips are so damn huge.

I got 163 and I'm 5'6' I'm ok even if they are short I doN't like the tall skis maybie I'll go for bigger next year I dunno

yea i used to have some short skis, but longer skis are easier to do shit with and are easier to land on, oh and centered bindings are the shit

i ride 179cm Seth Pistols, they're perfect for the mix of skiing i like to do. I usually try to get a ski that is 3-4 cm taller than i am, and the 179 Pistols work well.

I ski a Volkl G41 in a 198 and I don't want an all mountain ski that is smaller, but fucking companies don't make long skis anymore

wow thats a fucken stupid comment. How tall are you? If someone was 5'5 there is no way i would put them on anything longer than a 165 because they would be would be able to make that length perform. I would like to put you on my 198 volant's and see how well you do
 
im 5'9 and ride 175 triplets. theyre just taller than me. i rode the 184 for a bit but i was having trouble with spinning on to rails and stuff so i went back
