Longboards

Crack.

I've been lookin into this and I want to get one. It would pretty much just be one to get from point A to B, maybe a bit more. It would just be for cruisin around. My limit for spending is 100$ (I don't know if that's possible with what i've been lookin at but I want to try). Sector Nine looks like a good company. And my friend just bought a Dregs that he likes. But I don't know basically anything about longboards so can you guys help me out.

lets face it, theyre just for people who cant skateboard, its like people who buy twins and then never go in the park with them

some ppl use them to get around i see your point but longboarding is so fun

but i dunno if you can get one for under 100 maybe if your lucky to find one for under 200

just spend the extra money on a loaded dervish...Buy it off stokedskateboards.com to save a feew bucks...they go for about 250 but its well worth it

ok so I guess i didnt need as much help as I thought but now I need a bit of help deciding between three. Basically what it comes down to is which one is the best starter board.

Dregs Crabby - 149.99$

Dregs Sunball - 149.99$

Sector 9 Sand Wedge - 199.99$

You're not going to find one for under $100. The cheapest I could find was Sector 9 at Quicksilver for $165. It's definitely worth the money.

hahaha i was just waiting for that.

i would recommend picking the board you want an checking ebay first, and maybe wait a week or two if it is not up there when you check.

I feel bad replying to longboard threads now because I always recommend the M1 :P

I've ridden a couple other brands including Sector 9's and Arbors and I still prefer my M1. They are a touch on the stuff side but i like the stability.

i would completely agree with your recommendation though... i saw a guy riding one in Portland, ME the other day and i talked to him about it and he had only good things to say about it.

get the m1, this dude recommended it to me and its the best board for the money, it blows sector 9s and gravity's out of the water. it carves amazing and is decently fast. if your using it for just going places get the 46" cause its a little faster

i just got an arbor rail, near new for 60 off a friend. I like it a lot, isnt the most stable at high speeds but i use it mostly for cruzing from class to class and carving around. Another friend is selling his sector 9 that is decent that i might be able to pick up for you i think he was looking for 40 for it. Haha a few of my friends got into it then moved to nyc where its pointless to have a board so they are trying to get rid of theirs for dirt cheap. pm me to let me know if your interested in the sector nine

damn, i could only lower your karma by one point.

longboarding is pretty much a completely different sport than skating. you have no idea what you're talking about.

plus im pretty sure longboarding came first. i used to skate and now i hate stepping on a skateboard because longboards are so much more smoother and faster when it comes to actually getting from A to B.

i'm thinking that someone always just does this to see how many reactions they can get. But if your going cheap go with the kracked skulls and then if you want to later just buy some clay bearings when ya get the money or some big zigs or whatever. Deck is awesome tho but for 150 your not gonna get top of the line hardware.
