hey, i'm trying to get into longboarding, and i was wondering what are some good boards and places to get boards online, since there aren't any good shops around here. i'm mostly looking for a decent cheap board, since i don't have much to spend right now.
 
go to blankdecks.com, thats where mine is from and its so sick. They only cost around 70 bucks and you can do what ever you want with the deck-paint it, stickers, etc.
 
don't get a sector 9. I talked to a guy in Huntington Beach and he used to be a pro-longboarder and he said that sector 9 sold out last year and their new product is low quality. He then recommended setting any deck up with randall trucks and a pair of 70mm wheels.
 
^yeah dude, i fell going full speed down a huge hill cause i got speed wobbles and had to bail cause if i didnt turn i would have run into a wall. Now my arm is torn to pieces and my leg has the worst road rash i've ever had. I have to pull myself off the sheets every morning. It sucks. I can't imagine how fucked i would have been if i tried that when i was stoned.
 
Hey man, I have a sector 9 and have been riding sector 9 for 7 years...but dont buy one online, they are way too expensive these days. I would head elsewhere. Just dont get some retarded double-tailed board...get on with a flat nose.

And, I personally like LONGER long boards, not the stupid skateboard length ones...go with a nice 44-46 inch board.
 
this is what you get.. www.loadedlongboards.com get a vanguard longboard.. comes with randall-2 trucks(the best) and 70mm wheels.. its a killer setup i ride wanguard with r-2s and swiss bone bearings.. its sick as shit.. LOADED BOARDS ARE BOSS!
 
Yes, Loadeds are pretty sweet, I have a Vanguard and a Pintail. In my opinion, the quality of Loaded boards is better than many of the other more mainstream board makers out there including Sector Nine. A good site to look on for input about longboarding with way more knowledgeable people than on NS.com is www.silverfishlongboarding.com.

I custom make them and use a process somewhat similar to the way line makes skis with a wood core and a fiberglass exoskeleton. Look at seismic trucks they are way better than any randal truck because randals are cast trucks and have manufacturing defects. Abec 11 70's flashbacks are the best wheels on the market! don't buy a sector nine because they sold out and all the manufacturing is done by machines in china

NO F ALL THOSE OTHER SITES, Go to gfhurley.com their stuff is the shit, way better than any sector 9 or gravity peice of crap. trust me on this.
