anyone local around here longboard?

im looking at getting one after shooting around on my friends for a bit this summer... any recommendations on where i can look for some product? i heard hog-town was the place to check out... any others? as well, what kinda specs/detail am i going to be searching for, especially since im just starting out?

you could check out west49 but im not sure if they have long boards but they are a skateboard shop

and boardsport will have some for sure
 
gravity on lakeshore in port credit sells decent long boards. if you're willing to make the trip
 
just think of snowboard shops, like let it ride, boardsports, boardzone, sporting life board store and you'll probably find longboards.
 
my buddy has a sector 9 I love to ride, 100% bamboo. Im building mine, and its taking a frustratingly long time to finish, but I recommend soft wheels, loose trucks, carve hills like christmas turkey, and dont forget to bring your steeze.
 
just picked up a loaded 3-flex board on the weekend... all bamboo... fucking loving it. scoped out some nice parking garages the other night... and found a few keepers, also got kicked outta a ton by security... hahaha fuck them, anyone else riding downtown? or know any decent hills/garages to not miss?
