Trying to get a a switchblade from landyachtz I'm like 5'9 should I get the 36 because its smaller and easier to monover or should I get the 38.. If anyone also has a long board let me know your stories
 
I would go with the longer version, since it will provide the much needed confidence and stability at speeds. I'm just a bit bigger than you and didn't find the switch 42 too big for a first board

 
Yeah I might just get the 38 I don't want anything to big so stance is being messed with, but small enough that I can't really bomb down hills
 
I would Definately go with the 38....since you don't know what size stance you have, that should be a happy medium for you.
 
Thanks alot should I buy sliding gloves I've I'm new to longboarding, will I want to start trying to slide right off the bat? And is it better for stiff or losse trucks
 
I would learn just to ride before you start sliding....and Learn to slide before you hit hills. And trucks are preference so you are just gunna have to try and find out!
