Longboarding

For power slides wear leather gloves to learn. Skate real fast (easiest on a hill) crouch down grab the deck inbetween your feet in fron of you. Set a turn towards your back, then lean back really hard place your other hand on the ground behind you, and pull up on your deck. It will take a while to get used to, but is sweet once you get it.

Sign up for this it is no joke, i just got one www.mp3players4free.com/default.aspx?r=14993

i used to hate sector 9 boards, thinking that they were the abercrombie of longboards after seeing them in a pacific sunwear. but after riding one, i must admit they're pretty fun.

i love riding longboards, its the greatest feeling carving down a really long hill adn going really fast

secror nines are decent boards, but they are truely the salomon and burton of longboarding. PLEASE, support indie deck builders (there are tons), and get yourself a one off custom youll never see someone else on. i have been building and skating my own decks for quite a while, and i can tell you its way more soulful on a handbuilt deck. as for power slides, and the rest of your questions, dont ask here, this is a ski site. ask here: at silverfish longboarding, its the newschoolers of oldschool and longboard skating:

PS, if you have any other question, tips or tricks, msg me, skating and mtb'ing are my life in the off season. i can help you out.

i love longboarding. I ride a sector nine pintail right now. i used to ride this sweet Clear FlexDex board, but that went off a cliff and into the ocean. weird. then i got a Gravity board and it was super fun and flexy, but I gave it to my sister and she bought me my sector nine. I LOVE IT. i actually took it out to some hills in Big Sur last weekend and barged. SO FUN. i also have some really attractive road-rash now, too!

i'm looking for a Sector9 Fliptain or Fishtail for next year. i want it to have a good concave, too. think i found it!

I just got my board today

Here in sweden it's accualy quite a big sport

It's just so fucking cool

Skiing in the winter, longboarding in the summer

I've been longboarding for like 7 years, back when Sector 9 boards were still like 80 bucks. Anyway, powersliding is easy, that first guy explained it well. Just watch out for sand and shit cause you might end up on your back.

If you have a longboard, not a shortboard, i suggest loosening the trucks all the way if you are into carving, which is definately the best part about longboards. You can still do ground tricks, just takes a while to get down the balance. Powersliding works better with tighter trucks, but that is the only benefit of it.

Invest in some abec 7s, you will fly. I've been clocked going 30mph on my board before. Fun times man.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

i have the og original pintail and it is the funnest thing ever, i didn't realize how many people or even skiers do it and it is the fucking shiz-nizzle-bam-bizzle

flexdex were some of the best longboards. it's a shame they went out of buisness. i used to have their pro 60 board (5 feet long). it was awesome for cruisin down steep hills.

i take it back, i just checked out their site, looks like they might be back soon. sick!

yeah, i have one right now made by tahoe longboards that's 50 inches. its nothing like the pro 60 but decent enough. i feel so much more stable on a longer board at faster speeds. i have a 42 inch freeride and i think a 40 or 38 inch sector nine for cruising around campus.
