Longboarding crashes?

just broke my collar bone. idiot car ran me off the road. started to pass me then slowed down then put his turn signal on as he was right next to me it was so sketchy i had to bail into the grass to the impact on my upper back
 
ride in the middle of your lane. when you ride on or near the white line cars will always pass you and create really sketchy situations.
second thing, learn how to slide then come to the springs and ride with me and james
 
6-8 weeks man.. and i HAVE to be better before brazil, so no more longboarding for me until after i get back.
 
First crash resulted in this. Not to bad at all. Lucky I didn't dome my head…had no helmet on :/

but as for my story i was bombing this hill in the park near my house, big ass park and theres this boulevard that leans into it, its a long gradual hill but as you get into the park it drops, the park used to be a lake so now its this huge valley. anyway, there are streetlights right before you get into the park. lucky me, i had the green light so instead of slowing down i just push a couple more times and keep going picking up more and more speed. as im tearing down this super steep hill into the park doing maybe 40kph, this girl shouts "HEY SKATEBOARDER" so being a retard i turn and look. i look back realizing that the worlds sharpest turn is ahead of me, so, being a retard again, i try to heelside drift around the turn. while standing up. i completely lose it, fall forwards, land on my hands and knees. i was wearing sliding gloves and knee pads so i actually slid on those for a split second before i slam straight into the curb. i go flying, land in the grass rolling and then my head smacks into a tree REALLY hard. i got some sort of whiplash, i couldnt turn my head for like 2 days. i told my rents that i hurt my neck in gym class, i didnt want to go to the hospital so i lied. but now whenever i turn my head far enough heres an extremely audible crack, enough to make people literally flinch in a waiting room or library. all i can say is wear a helmet, i was lucky enough to wear one that day.

the worst part is that the girl wasnt even hot

i've bombed this gnarly ass hill soo many times without a helmet and the one time i decide to wear one i eat SHIT. thank god.
but basically i got a little too cocky about not crashing and tried to break 40mph down this hill. pushed into it hard and made it fine til the last part. the hill starts off with a long, steep, straight part then theres a loose left hand turn followed by another straight hill. for some reason the road turns from smooth into chip seal halfway down the second hill. right when i hit the chip seal i started to get wobbles, and foolishly tried to do the foot break maneuver (at 40mph). immediately got thrown off my board.

WEAR A FUCKING HELMET WHEN YOU BOMB HILLS PEOPLEseriously...long board crashes are no joke. its not like youre riding your bike to the corner store. wear a fucking helmet. if i didnt have one on i would probably have some serious brain damage right now

was filming a short film for school when both my front wheels locked up on my shitty sector 9. flew forward with my HVX200A and had to go to urgent care. ended up with a concussion, a separated shoulder, and a scarred patch from where all the skin got scraped off.

I don't longboard myself, I used to skateboard do, but this one time I borrowed a friends longboard when I was in the only place in the Netherlands that has hills. And I was coasting down time, everything went fine, it was a lovely day. Then on a bigger hill I got massive speedwobbles, and every single longboard crash I've ever seen flashed before my eyes, I fell of but managed to plant my foot down which catapulted me over this barbwire fence into a stack of hay. I had nothing, apart from hay everywhere.

picture taken about a week and a half ago. 2mondays ago i was bombing a hill in my neighborhood with my two friends. Half way down i got the dreaded wobbles and went down hard. Luckily i didnt hit my head, but walked about with road rash on my knee, arm, hip and hand....im fine now after 2 weeks, every thing is scabbed over and healing well
