to balance on a rail, what do you focus on, the end of a rail, I have troubtaying on things over 20 ft, anything I should be doing to balance better (besides practice)

More speed.....it will be easier to balence when your going faster too.

better to burn out...

...then fade away

^what he said, and make sure that your centerd when u first get on, cuz if u arent, it gets amplified near the end and u fall off. thats what ive found anyways.

get enough speed obviously, but make sure you are looking at the end of the rail the whole time.

Its that damn so hot right now, he so HOT RIGHT NOW!

hahaha ... he's right. Ski up to the rail with it between your tips and pop, spin the lower body 90 degrees. When u land spot the end of the rail, be sure to keep your head over your feet or you'll bail. Also keep your shoulders parallel to the rail, if a shoulder dips back, then your feet will come out from under you soon. That should just about do it ... just remember to stay perpendicular to any slope, even on rails, or in the pipe.

thanks peeps. Alot of it is intuition, things you do w/o even realizing them. But hearing it broken down definitely helps because even though I already do some of the stuff, knowing what to focus on will make me better. I'm thinking of practicing with inlines over summer...but concrete is so much harder than snow, or even ice...

inline will help u get on perfectly...and besides that, just good speed and keep your eyes on the end

really think about your pop onto the rail. then think about everything else. but the perfect pop helps soo much

I think one way the cops could make money would be to hold a murder weapons sale. Many people could really use used ice picks

i think about making sure i get completelty perpindicular with the rail...other wise you can slide off easier

step by step instructions

1)approach rail with it in between your legs.

2)reach rail, and pop off the lip and spin 90 degrees.

3) on the rail, you want to have your feet shoulder width apart, or maybe a bit more...its easier to balance that way

4)spot the end of the rail, and keep your eyes on it, dont look down.

5) dont look down.

6)when on the rail, your want your weight to be a bit more towards your front foot, otherwise you'll slip out.

7), reach the end of the rail, look straight down the slope, and your body will naturally spin back.

and speed is essential...except on curved rails, there you need to judge out of experience what is best...

experience being falling.

yeah, focus on getting the rail more under your toes and ball of your foot instead of you heels.
