Long fit Gore Tex Jackets?

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a long/tall fit, gore tex jacket and was curious if anyone has come across anything. Any suggestions would be great.

Gore tex would just be optimal, live on the west coast, gets super damp here on the regular so the better the waterproofing the better my winter is going to be

i have the orage jp jacket and in xl the zipper is about 33 inches, so not that long at all. my best suggestion would be getting the oakley CHOICE jacket as it is loose fit and that is pretty long in my understanding.

I have the same problem. I'm tallish (6'0) and live on the coast and want a longer fitting jacket but don't want to sacrifice quality. MEC actually has a couple longer gortex jackets, I have their truant jacket from a couple years ago, but the colours are super limited and muted, which is cool if you're into that. I wish Orage would make the JP jacket or something like last year's garrick jacket in a tall/long fit.

Goretex not only means they use Goretex in it, but that the whole jacket is approved by them. So overall you are guaranteed a great jacket.

Soooo? I was just letting him no he wouldn't be restricted to goretex if he wanted quality... I had a goretex work jacket when i was working lift ops and it was the worst jacket i have ever owned. I just brought a 15k analog jacket that holds water off better than that did.

I'm 6'2 and just got the Armada Armory jacket in XL, witch is one of Armadas LongFit jackets wit a 38in Zipper. Fits great, long but not too long about 6/8in above my knees. And I'm waiting for my XL Saga jacket with a 38in zipper too. The Armada Armory also comes in XXL witch is 1/2 longer but wider, I'm tall and skinny so I don't need it wider. Armada jackets are about 1in longer then regular size jackets and there longFits about 3/4 longer then that. I love the long fit but keep it above your knees, then your just wearin a dress. Good luck and RockFresh! !

the oakley fari had a great fit last year, I assume the flare has the same fit. Im 6'2' the xl was nice and long, great waterproofing, great style.

Sweet protection do some really nice tall(ish) jackets, great quality pro shells. I can't remember but I think some of the norrona pro shells are pretty long in xl too.

Look for an XL shell that's got extra drape for belay stations. That's alpinist speak for longer cut.
Closeout racks and departmentofgoods are your friends.
