Long Exposure

What were you trying to accomplish by having this photo be a long exposure? How long was your exposure?

To me, this photo is awkward. It looks like you were just using the long exposure to add more light to the photo. I didn't see anything to suggest the long exposure enhanced the photograph. This same photo could have been captured with a 1/60 second if you boosted your other settings. I also would have turned down the trees in front. They are distracting.

If this photo was taken from the same position on a starry night using a long exposure to bring out the stars or even star trails and showed the light trails of the cat down the mountain, it would have been a much more interesting photograph.

I agree. It's too plain. But if you took a timelapse, or got some star trails it would look nice.
