Long boards from zummies

so for my birthday i ask everyone for money and i was goignt o buy a longboard. The promblem is that the ones at the skate shops are like 250-300$. i only have like 200. I heard zummies has em so i was goignt o get one from there. You think the board would old up for a while or not?
 
i work for Zumiez.. and the boards are all fine... but alot of them are just like basic boards... reall general use.... depending on what store your at they could have some better boards... but i mean as a company we carry Sector 9.... not to much else... so if thats what your looking for go for it.... but if not look online... cause there are deff. a shit ton of better companies out there.. so just look around
 
if i were to buy a longboard from them

(ive longboarded a couple times before and i loved it)

what options would you choose when u customize it?
 
Depends on your size and weight really. Search around NS, there should be more than a few threads on this company and everything you need to know to buy one.
 
yeah, its pretty ridiculous, but who can argue with free stuff?

but, if you plan on getting a kracked skulls, check out my sig for a 5% discount, but i'd reccomend a 38-40 inch scimitar because you wont get wheelbite but it'll be agile enough for beginning, and probably lime zigs cuz they're super grippy, smooth, and fast roll speed. just pick whatever color trucks you want, but the quartz grip is shitty, so don't bother
 
FUCK ZUMIEZ. because of them...local skateshops are getting fucked. and local skateshops are dope...I don't want to go to the fucking mall to buy a skateboard and see a bunch of overweight 12 year olds walking around with their bar laced DC's and bright blue krew pants. local shops support the local scene...help get parks built and bring up local talent. what does zumiez do? they take your money and don't give two shits about the future of skateboarding or snowboarding.

oh, and no offense to the dude that works for them. im sure its a good easy job that pays half decent.
 
i'm 5'5 125 and i just want to cruise around essentially. if i were to get a board would i go with a shorter length?

i got an apex 37, 3 weeks ago, Best board i have ever ridden.
It has a decent flex, but not too much like a vanguard.The trucks took me a good week of riding to get used too but i can't imagine riding anything else.Get the apex 37 with the lime zig-zags
