Lone Peak @Big Sky

Hey, I was just wondering if there were any cliffs that people know of off of the tram at Big Sky. Obviously there are a lot of cliffs but are they huckable? Also my brother wants to go to the top of the tram but isn't that good at the steep stuff. Is there any easy way down from the top? Or is it all hard shit?

Not sure about the cliff hucks, I'm sure there are a few, but I don't know where they are. As far as an 'easy' way down, Liberty Bowl is, in my opinion, fairly easy. It's definitely not mellow, but there isn't anything incredibly technical or intimidating about it...might as well give it a try, if it's too hard for him at least it'll force him to improve.

True dude, I totally appreciate the response. I heard from someone that there was a cat track down. Is that a bunch of bull? Thanks man.

i havent seen a cat track. frankly i think the tram is not that great, it gets alot of wind, its cool bein up there, but its not really a great ski. cliffs, there are a couple if you drop over the edge toward shedhorn you can find some in there. i have never done them, but ive seen people do um, some 15 or 20 foot drops

Thats what I have heard about the tram. But my bro doesn't want to be that kid who rides the tram back down because he couldn't ski from the top. Do a lot of people ride it back down?

there is no cat track down and there are some cliffs but most of them are huge (like 50+) and the tram is some sweet skiing you just dont know where to go

The tram is pretty good, but i don't know of any cliffs there. There are some good cliffs over on challenger on the side that faces moonlight. probly 20-25 feet.

If you like the steeps, the gullies are awsome. especially the head wall in 1st. i don't know of any cliffs off the tram but theres a nice one off of Challenger. And as for your brother, Liberty is good but its really long and if he gets scared it could take a long time to get down.
