i'm heading to london in a couple weeks for a six week study abroad. i'd like to find some cool local places to check out, some pubs and what not. i'd also like to check out some live music while i'm out there so if you know of any cool places for that or if there are any big tours going through let me know. i've never been overseas before so i'm pretty pumped about it and make the most of it.
 
go to st. john's wood. when you get off the tube station there my old house is across the street, take a picture and ill give you a cookie
 
I used to live in Wimbledon village. Go into the village, some nice little pubs and restaurants there. World cup there now, should be pretty crazy
 
Hey live there and am posting from sweet Elephant and Castle (that sucks).

But London is a large city, with many types. What I would recommend you to do, is first do all the tourist crap, and then do some more chilled things. Go into clubs. If you like dance, house, hard house, its the place to be. Also all other styles are findable. Here is my fav website: www.dontstayin.com

Sthing else to do is friday evening in the City, the business part of town. Go in a beer garden with friends, go drink a pint, it is really nice.

Also, in Hyde Park, you can go swim. I went this afternoon to take a dip. Water was dirty but who cares, did it :).

Watching the girls getting really pissed is fun.

Picadilly Circus on Saturday is cool, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porshes come and scratch out a little bit.

it is expensive especially if ur going from american dollars to pounds. The weather usually sucks but there's some good bars
 
No weather was actually good. Right now its like 80, but should be goin dow in the next few days at like 70.

This year it has not rained much. So little in fact the souther part of England is dry and needs rain. I think it hasnt rained in like 2 weeks today.
 
why dont u check out the british isles like the isle of wight. that is one sweet place and its an hour away from london. definitely worth the trip.
 
dont just stay in london, there are loads of other good cities in england (wow a scotsman complimenting england haha)

cardiff in wales is really good

and come up to edinburgh, theres always live music in the clubs.
 
Im leaving tomorrow for almost two weeks so this thread is quite interesting. Only bummer is i missed the british gp and wimbledon by 2 days on arrival and departure.
 
Okay, so there are "sweet" [ubs everywhere in London, the cities are nice in England, but Wales is... wild, like sheep and cattle everywhere ;), go clubbing (Ministry, Turnmills, Pacha, SeOne, Cross,...) and do drink good english beer that anyone above 15 can drink :)
 
picadilly circus has some good clubs.

check out ministry of sound, its like a 24/7 rave. its near the tower of london, in that district anyways.

camden area has the latest and dirtiest bars. lots of niggers calling themselves poor niggers.

go to hyde park and check out speakers corner. its by the marble arch. lots of crazies but fun to watch.

but ya picadilly circus is the best (read good but inexpensive) party area.
