We're cocky as shit because we give more money to charity and helping end disease in third world countries in one year than any other country has in their entire history. America is the most charitable nation on earth and other countries still bitch about how we don't give enough and are greedy, so you know what? They just jelly that we rich. The fact that our credit rating was downgraded was a GOOD thing, china can't artificially keep the Yuan's value down forever and Japan (honda) is already moving production out of trading with china to other places. With our credit rating down, our money can stop being so artificially high value and we will finally be able to export more due to it being cheaper for other countries to import from us. This will stimulate a bit more production in the US but I do agree that we do not have enough incentives to keep production local and the government needs to address this.

Also our unemployment is around the european average at this point. You euros have great benefits for the unemployed so it hovers around 9% over there on average, I think we are at 11% right now but i'm not sure. We usually have 4% so I mean it's bad for us but by your standards it's pretty normal. Sucka my big 'murkan bawls

Anyway back to the riots. Just heard my sister and her collegues have had to barricade themselves in a shop in Manchester cause the rioters have smashed their way into next door, stole a load of stuff, then set the shop alight. They had to let the customers who were shopping, out of the rear entrance.

Now thats not about a guy who got shot in London, thats just seeing that other people in other cities are kinda getting away with it and having a go yourself.

Plus any of you UKer's noticed that the police seem to be holding back a little, maybe since the G20 riots where they killed (one rogue part-time copper that is) Ian Tomlinson, and kettled all those people for hours.
