To all you assholes saying high school exams are a joke. It is all relative. I'm sure you were a bit stressed about them when you wrote them also. Now you have more life experience, good for you, here is a cookie. Go fuck yourself.

Dude that sucks. With minor amounts of work for the most part you can easily get solid 80's in HS.

Step up your game son. Bring that gpa up to mid 80's at least...no respectable college will take you serious in the 70's.

Im in grade 9, in my town that is highschool but the gov doesnt consider it to be

From what ive heard by my teachers it is very rare for colleges to look back to grade 9 because in many places grade 9 is still middle school.

9th grade determines how hard you have to work to maintain or raise a GPA trough hs, don't blow it off man

Dont come on NS and start a pissing match over who has the hardest high school tests then. The hate is 100% warranted. Its not wrong to be stressed out but stop thinking these tests are the difference between life and death. Nothing like punk-ass middle/upper class high school kids whining about how hard their lives are. Shut the fuck up.
 
Yeah I didn't study for a single high school exam and I left with a 3.7 overall. Shit is easy.

Just show up and listen and you will be fine. You don't have to pretend it's going to kill you.

Yeah dude take your freshman and sophomore years seriously, they definitely matter. I always get pissed because I blew off freshman and junior year and got a shitty gpa, and now in junior year although I have a 3.96 it still wouldn't even bring my cumulative gpa over a 3.3. Blow it off now, regret it later

Op is not smart im in 9th grade and anyting below 80 is hard to get bud and colleges def look at grade 9 jr highs are stupid
 
Freshman year is easy, don't blow it off, easy way to get a solid start on gpa

Sophomore year is more important, every year you add the more "locked in" your gpa becomes

Fucking grind out junior year so your in a solid spot, cuz you'll start applying for colleges early senior year

If you've worked hard your senior year can be pretty easy, or you can challenge yourself whatever floats your boat.

Because of work early on hopefully I'll be graduating with an associates degree, colleges look a lot into what you did to seperate yourself from others

Lol thanks bud, did I mention all of my other classes are 85% + and my science is like 86% average rn. I got 78 on this test because I bitch and moaned and didn't study. Of course your gonna have better grades... Everyone does on social media it seems. Fuck off

yo, you guys gotta realize the canadian school system is a lot different than the US system. the fact that he said grade 9 should have tipped you off haha.

And Mingg, For college acceptances within canada from canadian high schools, colleges mainly only look at your grade 12 scores (bizarre right?) so they end up getting their acceptances from canadian schools way later than internationals. Basically their grade 9 doesn't mean jack shit to canadian colleges (it wasn't even counted in my GPA when I sent in my applications to ubc and mcgill)

A 75's equivalent on the 4.0 scale for canadians is also around a 3.3 I believe (so B+)

they are all a joke. I literally bullshitted my way though graduation via abusing the challenge an exam thing we have going on in British Columbia.

that is all together not true at all. Your work ethic and understanding of what you're doing in hs will determine how hard it is to raise your gpa.

This. Most of you guys are in your 20's, and I'm gonna go ahead and guess you were probably pretty stressed out about this kind of stuff when you were 14/15 years old. Unless you had absolutely no desire to do well academically and/or cared about your future, which I doubt.
