kinda funny? If i thought there's any way i would survive a nosebutter dub attempt, that's all I would be doing all day long. Why wouldn't he be trying them?
 
Goepper is a really strong guy to pull that around again. He has such solid landings and all of NS gets angry because he wears something which isn't tall? Don't get it
 
I mean, its pretty obvious that Nick is trying to follow Henrik's example to some extent. I mean obviously he's not getting dreads and wearing his goggles backwards, but he even said in an interview after the big air that he thought he could have done the nose bud trip better than Henrik did. I never said it was a negative thing, I am glad that Henrik's influence is making other skiiers more creative with how they approach a jump
 
Yeah I agree it's pretty funny that he can't even nosebutter dub in the middle of a slope run. And his skiing is so bad, he is a robot with no style. But I think it is definitely fair to say that when he isn't in the park he is just "trying to be Stept" which isn't cool either, man there are so many solid reasons to dislike him.
 
Isn't that how skiing works? That's the whole point of posting videos of skiing on the internet, to show people new things and have them try it as well. Quit bitching ya dickhole.
 
Funny. This is the go-to statement that NS uses when trying to defend goepper, yet I never see anyone using that as a reason to dislike him (that are serious, that is)

 
Only gapers truly believe that clothing makes your skiing better or worse. You want to tell yourself that people criticize Goepper because he wears regular clothing, but the truth is that you're incapable of recognizing the subtle nuances. Anyone with any sort of brain will be able to tell you what they don't particularly like about his skiing. If at any point they mention his clothing, they're an idiot.

I've seen video of some that he's stomped, and they arguably look better than Henrik's. Also, this thread is dumb.

Dude your laughing at him cause he failed, but I think its more impressive that he actually did the double with one ski on. It was pretty much off at takeoff throughout his entire rotation. Don't hate, congratulate.
 
Never did I say I was laughing at the fact that he didn't land it or because he failed. I said up there that he was truly an athlete for being able to land on one foot. That is extremely impressive. I just found it ironic, because when Henrik was doing his first nose bud dubs i never would have expected for people like nick goepper to be trying them shortly after. I would have expected skiiers like parker white and jf houle to be trying them first, because personally i dont think i have ever seen nick do a butter before this dub. Anyways, like I said before, I am glad that skiiers like Henrik are rubbing off on the more jockish type of skiiers and making them more creative then just straight up left dub to right dub all the way down the slope course.
 
I'm so glad Henrik woke up this morning, and all these other skiers are following his lead in waking up as well. God, where would we be without Henrik?!?!???

Believe it or not, people would be trying shit whether or not Henrik did. I know, sounds fucking crazy but it's true. Henrik wasn't even going to do his famous NBtripsmillionteen, he was just too stoned to tell Tanner no.

 
OP is a good example of whats wrong with skiing. Why don't you fucking thrash T-hall for hitting chads after candide? Or literally every fucking pro skier for doing the same tricks other pros do. You're a retard and should be euthanized, OP.

 
I strongly doubt that there would be nose bud dubs for at least a year or so without Henrik. I mean, Henrik literally dominated big air last summer and this year by just throwing nose bud dubs. Thus, kids like Nick want to score that much higher and followed suit. I mean, if there wasn't Henrik I would argue that most jockish type skiiers would have kept just trying to add one more 180 to their rotations instead of trying butters. Like for instance, last year at snowbasin dew tour kids like nick were trying to squeeze 1440's into their doubles to win. But the game has changed this year, and kids like schlopy in xgames throwing dub 16's in slope runs end up last. I'm not saying that if Henrik wasnt around there wouldnt be comp nose butter dubs, but the success that nose butter dub has brought him in comps has inspired others to follow suit much quicker.

I think it would be more accurate and fair to say that whatever trick smoked the competition last year will be the new standard no matter who threw it. We'd all be throwing daffys and spread eagles if it weren't for Johnny Moseley, where's his love?

Please do not take this as taking away from Henrik in any way. I fucking love me some Henny and I love seeing him absolutely crush the competition with his laid back stoner style. I just think you're not giving everyone else enough credit in this case.
 
I mean, I am sucking Henrik's dick because he is one of my favorite skiiers, and to say the only reason he threw the nose bud trip is cuz of tanner is just wrong. Plus, I wasnt even talking about the triple I was talking about the double. Rewind a couple years back, in the B&E blackout movie, when Henrik was still rocking ninthwards, that was the first time he threw a nose butter double. There was a solid two years there where he was the only one who had thrown them until eventually Russ, Nick, Niklas, Luca Tribondeau, Kevin Salonus (not sure if thats his name, but he dropped a dope edit recently) started throwing them just recently. Yeah there would have been a new trick that smoked competition, but that trick would have probably been a sw dub cork 1880, and skiing would have been a lot less interesting if that was the case. Yes, Moseley should get credit for icing some of the first mute spins, Jon Olsson should get credit for doing some of the first new school doubles, Mickael Deschenaux should get credit for essentially inventing steeze on skis, Peter Olenick should get credit for putting the double in the pipe and Henrik should get credit for inspiring many to try playing around with butters more.

The post run interview of him saying he wasn't even thinking of doing it until THall told him to is burned into my memory because it was so nonchalantly rad.

I'm just going to focus on this now fwiw. The rest of the argument is all personal taste and all in your head. Henrik is amazing and clearly a leader in the sport's progression, but you should have a little more respect for the other skiers in the game IMO. Henrik was absolutely not planning to throw that NBtrips though, and a true Henrik fan should absolutely know that :)
 
Mark my words, there will be a lot more butter jump tricks in competitions next season. People aren't stupid, they saw Henrik's scores this past season. Mad peeps will be busting out their "nosebutter skis" for the slope and big air comps.

Nick is fuckin sick and I don't see why everyone gives him shit and says "he's copying henrick" half of the kids on ns copy henrick
