Hello!

We are 4 guys from Denmark planning a season in Mammoth, jan,feb march 2008/09. We found a house in Mammoth lakes, supposably

"Walking distance to Vons, Roberto's, Salsa's, The Stove etc. To 1875dollars including electricity. Can anyone tell me about the location if its good or bad? How far there is to the lifts and to the place where it happens if you wanna go out?

If you can recommend any other places as well it would be nice :)

Regards Morten

well... that is pretty close to the center of town. are you gonna have a car? there are busses that go around town to canyon, main or the village, or you can get the village gondola up to canyon. vons is near the only movie theater in town... it's not a really big town, not too bad to get around

Very good location! The stove is amazing try their omelette with avocado....i used to go there like every morning

how about the price, 1875dollars/monthincluding electricity? Is it expensive or a fair price?

I can only compare to the seasons ive had in the alps and in common to that its cheap, but ofcause prices in the US is different.

that's a really good location actually. Real close to shuttle stops.

Mammoth is really expensive usually. that's def. not a bad price. I don't know what houses usually rent for there, but I think that's pretty good.

We have a pretty big house, like 5 bedrooms 2 stories up on hidden valley.. it's 3000 a month not including utilities, and in teh winter if you use heaters that can get suuper expensive, so it's always extremely freezing like you can see your breath in the bathroom in the morning. 1875 sounds good if it includes utilities and a prime location, though i'd be curious to see what prices will be next fall considering the recent crappy economy
