so our forum has been pretty lame for pretty long now.

i hope this helps....

darkside productions is presenting their feature film, "better than pretty good", Nov. 28th, 2008 @ Dalhousie. Many more details coming on the premier, we will post.

for anyone who does not know darkside productions (dsp) let me explain. jon burke, local film maker, is producing his 3rd maritime snow flick - "better than pretty good". he first hit the big screen with "bombshell" produced under the name "alurke production" a joint snowboard project between jon and matt allen, local shred kingpin, who now lives in calgary. from there the light hit jon and he realized skiing was quickly pushing the maritime scene harder and faster meaning a combo ski/board flick next - "902onsnow". this came out in Dec 2005, we have all waited for snow since then to back up our progression with another vid...the time has come.

feature skiers will include myself, jeff jensen, foster verge, john emberley, matt ferguson, dave (ezmac) macdonald, nick bagnell and jon wilson. snowboarders will include matt allen, robbie mcleod, peter mann, andrew (bubba) armstrong, chris cormier.

the flick will be short and sweet packed with local urban hotspots and footage from premier events during the past yrs like the "Rosebowl" ,"Grand Slam" and "Peanut butter railjam". along with this is some classic footy from mammoth mtn, amqui quebec, sunday river/sugarloaf maine and even our local parks.

of course the premeir night will be followed up with an after party that will be felt for days, details will be posted.

we will also have a teaser out in October to stoke the fire.

let us know if yur comin to check it out @ Dal.

sick! sucks not to be at Dal now I guess. It's always awesome to see talent from the maritimes on the screen.

Yep confirmed the 28th....originally it was schedualed for the weekend of the 7th/8th but that would rush the project a little too much so the 28th will bring a better qulity movie....

Crap...still can't make it down. Our Open House in the next day. Any chances of picking up a copy to play in the Thirsty Boot here at Crabbe?

for sure j

too bad you cant get down, good to hear your back at crabbe, is your same crew still on board this year?

Oh yeah, same crew plus we've added a few more to the mix on the park side. We are hoping to pick up the momentum where we left off. Hope to announce some comp dates in the next few weeks. Sorry to hijack your thread. If it wasn't for the fact that I have to be responsible and run Crabbe properly, I would definitely be down for this party.
