Local Slang Terms or Made-up Words

"pool" - means to cork a wiffle ball bat.

and "china" is what you say if someones standing in your way of like the tv or something. this is just between me and like 5 other kids though...
 
yo quailman, 'bawg' or 'bawgie' goes way back in nj/ny. probably still around the time you were still suckin on your momma's titties. and the word is very contagious, people catch on quick
 
That would explain it's origin... My buddies who started using hoots all use bongs exclusively. But in Delta and now UVic it's taken on a completely different meaning. Everyone uses it for reference to any type of weed smoking. Bongs, pipes, joints, whatever. Like the one word represents the whole experience. We just have to ask "hoots?" and it's all clear what's up.

the dope nasty= ridiculously fucking cool. not to be used often. when i worked at a skate shop and dropped that on a customer when describing a product they bought it every time.

Bubbler - Water fountain

Wicked - used to make something much better/worse "that was wicked sick"

Jimmies - Ice cream sprinkles

Nor'East'r - a large storm, typically a snow storm

we just started makin up more shit as we were talking its a great way to talk about goin to smoke in open forums such as a classroom or around your parents
now if you will all excuse me i have a difficult calculus equation that i must run outside and solve.

good looks - say when something sounds good, approval. sorta hard to explain

ex. "dude i finally hooked up with that chick last night"

"good looks man"

mad - used to emphasize things - i know other people in other places may use it but people literally say it 24/7 in my town

ex. "that movie was mad good"
