Yo, whats up y'all looking to start a park in the city...find a hill and get going I've got a railwe can use if anyone else has anything they'd be willing to donate/lend we could get somethign sweet setup as soon as theres so permanente snow down. I'm thinking gorsebrook or the citadel, but if anyone knows any better hills in town msg me. No car will no longer mean no park!

what happens when some knobs take our rails somewhere else? theres lots of that shit that happens

the real east starts here

then we hunt them down and chop off their hands my edges are sharpened... or just try and get the local skate shops to help get it recognized so that way idiots wont jack our shit

I'm not 100% familiar with Hali, but by putting rails on a hill, you'r gonna get them stolen. If the city doesn't rip them out, then someone else will to put them in their back yard. Even if a skate store promoted this by any means, it's gonna be on public property. You have no control over what happens. Personally, I'd keep my steel in the backyard. Or find a very secret location, we talked about having an urban park in Freddy a few years ago (just off the highway after the Princess Margaret Bridge)...it never materialized though.

i am going to try and build an in-run ramp by x-mas, and if it's done, anyone can come over and session it and feel free to bring rails or what not.

-New Vinyl....coming soon to drinking establishment near you!

yeah, but still itd be so awesome to have a prk in town...I'll talk to city council and see about getting okay'd and maybe just chain up the rails at night or something. secret locals never work because then its even hard to keep track of the stuff, and everyone knows about them in like 2 days

If you can find a way to assure me my rails won't get stolen, I can donate some really nice stuff to use at Gorsebrook. If you get the OK from the City and find some way to prevent the rails from getting stolen, I'm game to help you out.

Some people are trying to snowboard here!

Oh I get it. Sorry to ruin your day.

I dont know if I could guarentee the unstolenness of your rails, but the only way I can think of is to chain them up at the end of the night or take them home every night. I'll email city council about getting it ok'ed and maybe theyd help us bolt them down for the season somehow,

what kind of rails do you have?

Hey dude, I like the idea and stuff, but NO city council on this planet will okay for you to put your own rails on some hill. Think of just a FEW of the legal issues. The city would have to assess your rails for safety, think of the waivers issue, theft...plus the fact that they know local hills offer this kinda thing already. Not to mention, most terrain where you would want to build (for in-run purposes) is considered 'family sliding hill' i'm sure and these rails would attract those evil snowboarders who the city fear will ruin, rape and plunder the family folk.

Doesn't waste your time writting to the city, they will not help you out, spend the time sessioning an urban or something. Atln. Canada has some of the best urban terrain in North America. Why spend days putting in a down-flat-down when you could just go session one?

More power to ya, but this is a wasted cause.

Metro, I don't think you've thought this through at all. People aren't going to front rails worth $1000s of dollars if they know they're going to get stolen.
