Local killed in Iraq

hate the war all you want. but you have to love and honor the soldiers. hopefully the war will end soon
 
I didn't know the guy directly, but knew of him. Thanks for the regards though - I'll direct the love towards those who were closer to him.
 
i just think its complete bullshit that these marine recruiters come to high schools and convince these kids to join like its their only chance to make a living just bc they have shitty grades. Go to a community college, get good grades, go to a good college and get a good job. Fuck this "war". And anyone that supports it just fucking retarded. The USA is not the UN and does not run the fucking world.
 
we buried a guy here (west point) that graduated in 05 a couple weeks ago. funeral is tough, 21 gun salute, taps, presentation of the flag to his parents. its sad

seriously have some respect. this isnt a thread to stir up political shit.

my brother is over there now. this is his second tour in the past 3 years. mind you, he'll be 22 next week. little young eh? just so you realize what its really like over there i'll give you a little run through of his prior week. he and a few of his "brothers" in his unit (he's in the 82nd airbourne) were out in the humvee making the rounds when they got ambushed. two of his best friends who i know pretty well were shot. one was shot in the arm twice and the other in his leg three times. along for the ride was a sniper from their unit to keep an eye peeled. the sniper pulled my brother from the humvee and took my brothers spot in the humvee. then within mere seconds the sniper was shot in the back of his neck and is now full paralyzed. that could/should have been my brother.

even though the majority of us do not agree with the war and whats become of it, YOU NEED TO SUPPORT THE KIDS THAT ARE OVER THERE FIGHTING THIS WAR!! do not show any disrespect whatsoever
