Local Gapers Discover Helmet Cams and YouTube.......?

The attitude in this thread is driving me off skiing. If someone is having fun on skis but they're not too good, they're automatically a laughing stock, huh? Sickens me.
 
Everyone is rocking a GoPro or a Contour this year.

I saw 50 year old women with rentals at Mt Snow wearing them. Complete gaper snowboarders wearing them.

Must of been the big Christmas gift this year.
 
Didn't find it that entertaining until they just started launching jumps straight to the table. Then laughed heartily.
I don't look that much less ridiculous than these guys when I ride park though so w/e as long as they are skiing and having fun. I don't really feel the need to make edits showcasing my horrible park skills though. ....or hit the texas style jumps.
 
I dont really care that theyre bad or whatever i mean skiing all about having fun and all, but somethings you just dont film and put on youtube. kids gotta think

This, saw one on a 6 year old(or around there) just like taking groomer laps and i noticed almost every person has twin tips now i never get asked why my skis go up in the back anymore =(

My hill bought GoPro's and rents them out for a lot of $$$. A gaper asked us how to turn it on when he saw us using one on opening day.... I'm just saying, with two buttons, how hard can it be?
 
its because gopro is becoming more mainstream and is in comercials and stuff which is an immediately interpritted by gapers as something they need in order to look/ be good

hahahhhaha so true. ive noticed so many people this year who can barely ski, even outside of the park and are still reppin gopros
 
This thread has helped me with my new years resolution so much.

Hate more people / things, so many people like this at my mountain. Fucking groups of gapers coming through the terrain park carving and making everything icy then they hit the run ups which has fucked them up beyond beleif. I've always thought that we should get someone to stand at the top of the run and ask the people, "Are you going to hit the rails?" and if they aren't they can get the fuck out of the terrain park, you have over 25 other run to go on so fucking don't hit up the terrain park if your not doing anything but going off the little "side jumps". / rant
