any legit footbed place. some shops are just retarded and have no idea. anybody around here know a think or two about a think or two?
 
Squaw Valley Sport Shop in tahoe city (the one in squaw is good to, but the one in tahoe city is better), Elite Feet in Squaw Creek, and Cosmos Foot Works in Truckee.
I'd highly advise against Surefoot and Porters
 
in my opinion, but i work there. we have Bob, whos been bootfitting for over 40 years, who specializes in korks, and Gene, whos been bootfitting for over 45 years who specializes in footworks. one of them is there every day of the week, and they are, in my opinion, the best bootfitters in the area.
Elite Feet would be my second choice. i used to go there before i started working at SVSS. ask for Christian, hes the man.
 
If you were in the Bay Area, I'd say come down to Any Mountain in Concord and have Rob or myself kork you out..

But.. yeah.. not so much in tahoe.
 
I would have to strongly advise against surefoot, I got a pair of footbeds there a couple years back and the arch on one was way too big, it ended up screwing with a bone in my foot and it took the summer to heal. I went in to get them worked on like three times and they were not able to make them much better. I'm sure they have at least one competent person in there, but they definitely have a few dumbasses there. Now I am using some from SVSS in Tahoe City and they are amazing those guys are like perfectionists.
