Local backcountry booters

Maybe backcountry was a lofty way to describe what may go on around here but does anybody have any pics of nice booters they've built and hit in the michigan ohio indiana area.

i have always wanted to build one upnorth in michigan but it seems like there are way too many trees and underbrush for it to work...plus the hills dont seem steep enough or long enough for a legit landing. One day i want to do it though.

we built this one a couple years ago. it's basically a large step down with a mega steep landing that's why the lip doesn't look like it has much pop if any. look for sand pits, you can use the speed grade as a landing. the only problem is getting enough speed before the take off.

sand dunes east side of picture rocks in da UP has some perfect spots w/ lake effect snow and can only be accessed by skinnin, snowshoe or sled ride.

caberfae has some real good places, look at state of michigan v. teddy knape, theres a few good sized bc jumps from caberfae in there

is that at that one place with the wierd name like que sega recreation area or something, in i think ishpeming or negaunee or maybe one of those. its got a toboggan slide.?

al quaal rec area in ishpeming, just two tow ropes. the toboggan thingy is actually an ol' timey luge like contraption in negaunee i think... hank would know more on that.

Up at Mt. Bohemia is pretty good. There are quite a few good spots around the keweenaw actually. We have built some cool hits at Bohemia though.
