Local Areas Forum

Hi, i'm sorta new here and was just thinkin that it would be cool if there was a couple of forums dedicated to certain local areas like Australia/NZ, Canada, US, Europe, etc. so newbies or even old school ns.com'rs can talk smack with people from their areas about whats hapenin in their neck of the woods.

And also it could be an idea 2 make a forum where anything goes so u can go there and talk smack and not worry any of the more 'serious' forum readers.

i think what makes NS so cool is that eveyone from all around the world uses the same forum, but i like the idea of having a forum just to write what ever you damm well feel like

I think both Ideas have a smackload of potential. I like the second Idea more though.

I don't know about hving more forums, that would take an incredible amount of work, however, it would be cool if each member entered their home hill(s) so that you could find who skis around you

WHOa, i thought of the same thing at school today and was gonna post it. But it would be cool cause u could say stuff like 'who wants to go skiing at (wherever) on saturay and wants to meet up' instead of posting it on the forum for the whole careless world to see

Exactly the idea for that. It would be really cool to be able to hook up with people at your hill, or chill out in the summer with some fellow skier bitches.

yeah i like the home mountain idea. I think we should remove the posting categories ('pro', 'insane' etc) and put our home mountains there instead.

hhmm i just realized that the 'donator' annotation takes up that space as well..hhmm..i still like the idea though.

i dont have a home mountain, unless i want to drive very, very, far. maybe home state or region. or you could choose what u could write

I think NS is cool because of the diversity. That would only clique everyone and remove the diversity to a certain degree.

I don't reakon it'll diversify at all. Just bcos u hav a home hill doesn't mean u rn't up for meetin new ppl.

I reakon the home hill thing is a cool idea, it's not what i first had in mind but it's a better idea than country/state forums. as someone said, 'u could organize 2 meet up with ppl'

 
i think that people here are from so many different mountains that it wouldn't be worth it. i mean there's like 5 people on here from my home mountain and now one moved to whistler and the other is in quebec. so now it's just me, pipemonkey and shane_mcwannabe

All it would do is make it possible to hook up with people who ski nearby, or your hill, and let you know who off NS skis at you hill. It'd just be cool.
