Local Alpine ski shop=idiots

Last night I went to my local ski shop stoked on finally getting my new PE's. When they bring them out the bindings are mounted so far back they look like racing skis. The owner insists that I dont want them near center (which is exactly what I told him when I bought the skis) and that it is near impossible to turn that way. So now I have to get them redrilled because they think all skis are for racing. What should I tell them in terms of where they should mount my bidings? (+1 etc...)

if your gona be riding a lot of park just tell them to center mount them by balence, that way youll have a even swing weight.

Park Life

man they pulled that shit on me too when i bought my skis. i dont know what to tell them but i would be pissed off

remember alf? well he's back! in pog form.

Tell them they are clowns. Inform them, sternly, albeit polietly, that you are not paying for the botched mounting job, nor are you paying for the second mounting job. If you gave them clear instructions on your preference, they are at fault. If you didn't, well, then you cannot complain.

no there not idiots, and centermounting makes a difference for only park skis. but just get them redrilled

...

Yeah, the second mount should be free at least. I'd try to get new skis, but they probably won't buy that. There is no reason not to run park skis as close as you feel comfortable to core center. Turning won't be a problem, if anything the decreased swing weight will make it easier, you just won't be able to race FIS slalom with them.

'Today I washed my shirt with my washboard abs. I didn't even have to take it off, I just poured water on the stain and scrubbed it on my abs.' (My little brother)

'I'm in his nigger crew' (my little brother in response to my statement that he was in my 'digger crew')

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'I'm not asking for any help, just maybe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

I had a similar incident last year and I said 'you ruined my skis, I want my money back for them' so he said 'I tell you what, I'll remount the skis for free and give you 125$ in store credit to make up for the fact you have to ride twice drilled skis' (WHICH DOES AFFECT PERFORMANCE)

Do exactly what schmies said. Try and get a new pair of skis, but if not get a free remount and wax. You can remount up to 3 times before your skis weeken so you will be fine after one.

You should be able to get at the very least, a few free tunes, and a free remount. I would recommend mounting your bindings a little back from center so you can still ski the whole mountain with ease (not center, but not traditional).
