Loaded Turkey 4 2/3 (Rail Jam)
Nov 18, 2007
Skiers and riders compete on the rail set up in the early season terrain park on Reason. This event is Killington’s first rail jam of the year and always produces a large turnout. Registration will be held in the K-1 Lodge from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. and is limited to the first 100 skiers and riders so get there early! There is no advanced registration for this event. Registration is $15 and all competitors must have a lift ticket for the day or valid season pass. The event will start at 10:30 a.m. All competitors will get two qualifying runs. The best of the two runs will count toward making the finals. Once all competitors have had their two runs the finalists will be announced and posted. Five athletes form each male category and three athletes from each female category will advance to the finals.
The finals will be an open jam format held from 2:30 - 3:30. Categories will be broken down into men/women, ski/ride, 16 and over/15 and under, for a total of eight categories. Top finishers in each category will receive prizes from our sponsors as well as a turkey for first place, stuffing for second place and cranberry sauce for third place.
Winners of this event will also be eligible for free entry into the Rails to Riches Rail Jam being held on December 8, 2007. The Rails to Riches will not be broken down into age categories and only four people will gain free entry from the Loaded Turkey 4 2/3. The final determination on who advances will be left up to the choice of the competitors between the two winners in each age category. For instance we will have two male snowboard winners one over 16 and one under. The competitors will decide which rider gets the free entry
