so i'm about 5'11" and 140 lbs been skiing since i was 5 or 6 would a 179 Live Life 2 be legit or should i go bigger?

id go longer but it depends on your style of pow skiing. If you do tight trees and shit all the time in pow id go 179 but i personally would go 189 because i find myself making giant GS turns whenever im in pow. Plus rockered skis ski shorter than they actually say. I wish my 185 jj's were longer

What I was saying before I got cut off is. The flex on the LL2 is sort of stiff, it's an awesome flex though. I have heard only AMAZING things about them. The rocker is pretty ridic, it's a three-stage and the tips are probs 10 or 15 cm higher than the base.

@skibum i do mostly tight ass trees so im gonna go 179 but will it become a problem if i tr to make huge turns?

it wont really be a problem unless youre going mach 10 and you hit some crud or some old avy debris. 189 would be more stable at speed but it would be more work in trees. a 189 would be better for big drops too and stuff of that sort

i would probably suggest 179s for you, maybe 189s centered if you think you could handle them. My review of them is in my signature if you wanna check that out too...

yeah i just got mine im about 5'11 and 155 lbs and i got 179s becuase it was a price i couldnt turn down..
and i thought they were a stiffer pow ski but not too stiff they will probably handle alright any advice on where i should mount them?
i think the tails on them are kind of funky but will i not have a problem landing switch?

They ride really short. I'm 5'8" and I ride the 189s no problem. The 179 is good for cruising around but if you like bigger/gnarlier hits, I would definitely recommend the 189s. Just mount them dead center; I don't see any reason to mount them back since the rocker keeps your tips up, even on semi-frontseat landings.
