I want a ski game where it takes topography and satellite data to generate an area (terrain slope + identifying trees and boulders), be it ski resort or backcountry. And you can edit the area in a sandbox mode and can add chairlifts and shit. And you can change the snow conditions anywhere from slush to pow. I'm thinking this is technically possible but probably never going to happen lol

This is 100% possible right now with free to use data. Look up lidar point clouds of a certain region and you can download the data

Lmao that would be awesome, but I imagined it would use already existing satellite images of the area during the summer and use image recognition to make a sort of "tree node" or "boulder node", and have a selection of trees or boulders it will place at the node in game.
