Lizzy or Bacon

Probably a common question, but hopefully i can get some help for my riding conditions/style and my bodytype.

I have a couple pairs of skis right now (1260s in 177, 03/04 AR5s in 176, Line Moships in 172) and I am looking for something wide now, and I really like Line skis.

I am a 20 year old, 170 lbs, 5'9" skier who only gets to ski powder when I take a yearly trip to Tahoe, then a few Salt Lake days. ( I live in Las Vegas)

My concerns between the two would be this: The Lizzys are a size im familiar with riding, they seem like a ski i can do great in pow with the waist and if i go in the park I can still do good. The bacon seems to fit the ski im missing in my quiver and would be great for the deeep stuff, but i havent ridden a ski that size before, and I feel that if I take it in the park I may be overwhelmed by the size.

Im looking for any help, and if someone already posted this a link would be great.

i think the lizzys are to small for you. go with the baconswhich i feel is a better ski overall, even tho the lizzy was a great idea of a short fat-park ski. plus 5cm isnt that long from your old pair of 177cm. you will be fine in the park with a 182 plus it will be more fun with bigger skis.

SFB hands down...

They are the finishing step to your quiver, for the deep stuff.

Pull the trigger!

bacons are such a great ski, they got perfect 10 in freeskier gear review and i fucking love them, lizzies are weird skis, they're almost symmetrical so they're only really good mounted at true center, and if you're 5'9 that's way too small because it leaves you with practically no tip for powder, bacons are easy to handle, it'll be an easy transition, maybe mount them +2.5 or something if you're worried they're too big

ya I think im leaning towards the Bacons now. I saw them in a shop and they didnt seem like they were too big. Have any of you guys mounted them at +2.5? If so how did it ride for you, or any other mounting locations.

i have mine mounted at -3 from the line, i bought them that way, but i've ridden other bacons and i'd say +2.5 would be fine, they might not be as good on groomers and you might not get as good flotation in the pow but you should be fine. when in doubt just throw them on recommended, i think it's like -4 from true

well i figure ill only be using the ski for limited usage and if I do end up wanting to do park ill just bring my moships along as well since i have them almost at center. maybe ill just sack up and leave it and recommended for once lol.

If you're planning on not riding them park or switch much, mount them at the line. It should ski pretty well there b/c as someone else said, its not that far back from center. Also, Mcghies in Vegas is carrying LINE now if you're looking for a hometown shop, check them out.

Im not a big fan of Mcgies (I work for Sport Chalet), so I am either gonna try to prodeal them through K2 (anyone know if theyll do it?) or look around online.

i have lizzies and am 140. They are so soft and playful that they ski short. I have no problem handling them. I would go bacons for you i am sure that they are the same as lizzies and ski a little shorter.
