Lizzies On Rails and Spinning

How do the Line Elizabeths handle rails and swing weight and such.i searchbarred and looked through almost all of the threads and didnt find any of this info, i posted to one of them asking this same question and noone responded.
Im afraid that they would be too wide/heavy to throw around or throw switchups/270s and such which im still learning to do

I haven't ridden them but I know kids that have them and being it's a wider ski it should grip onto rails better. You would get use to it after a while

those are completely different skis the skis u listed are park/all mtn skis and much skinnier than the lizzies those are basically pow skis.

lizzies arent strictly pow skis, They are super good in the park. I have them and love them and i ski on hardpack/ice here in ohio. They are actually very light for the width underfoot. And it is the thinnist ski i have ever seen. I would say like a cm. thick, in spots which makes them super light, therefore allowing you to spin very easily. Its one of my favorite skis by far, sooo much fun in the park

how do you like them on rails/boxes in terms of being able to switchup/spin on or off?

they are great because they are so light. And the width underfoot makes them more stable on rails and boxes.

get them you will love them. they are a crazy fun ski. super park-like when center mounted, and a great all mtn ski when mounted at reccomended. (i've tried mine at both positions) but i dont even like the elizabeth compared to the hellbents that i have now. i just sold my lizzies today actually. they seem to be a ski that alot of kids want, and theres no question why when you try them out.

oh and if you havent heard they are going to be one of the softest skies you have ever been on ( i personally love super flexy skis), i dont know how soft you like them, but its so fun being able to butter around every where rather than being on a pair of heads and not being able to flex anything but your boot (IMO). im a pretty light guy tho too, i think alot of us lighter kids tend to love the softer skis

so basically your saying that they are no problem to spin and are actually better on rails and boxes?
NICE!

and if this helps, im still in progress of learning how to do 270's and switchups and the most ive thrown is a 3 off a jump, i just wanna make sure that the lizzies aren't going to prevent me from progressing in those two areas.

yeah dude they have your name all over them. grab a pair and center them you will have a whole new skiing experence.

i've had last years and this years and i think i will always own a pair. they are great on rails and boxes, except they fucking blow on wide ass boxes as do most skis, but i feel the width of the ski makes you really commit to gripping an edge on a wider box. but as far as just starting out, they provide a HUGE base for you to land on, so once your locked in...its money.

and yes its a park ski. eric pollard designs 3 skis, park (lizzie), all mountain (bacon), and pow(EP)

also take into account that the turn radius is super short (like 17m i think) so they like to carve around, basically like the line website videos say, its like riding a snowboard kinda. carving off of features is the only way, fuck that high speed spinning, skidding half your rotation shit, these skis make it pretty easy to take off and land in a carve.

and they are really really really soft, but that is what makes them so fun as well.

check the second half of ^ vid, garrettt russell showin you how to have fun on lizzies haaaa

haha sweet well all i know is i want a park ski that im going to have fun on but still be able to progress considering i still consider myself a beginner to freestyle skiing.
its between these or the pipecleaners
but im also buying hellbents so money could be an issue haha

i LOVE my lizzies on rails and boxes...they are so wide that gripping in order to spin off/ switch up is soooooo easy, and its virtually impossible to slip out/off of the rail...also, i find that spinning them isnt hard at all because at least to me, there is very little swing weight

thats sweet, they dont like wash out on jumps or anything?
basically they are really light and fat

and also im afraid that the lizzies and the hellbents are in too much of the same boat, like i feel like they are both in the same categories as skis, or are elizabeths really that much better at park and bents really that much better at powder

if your wanting somthing fun and buttery i wouldnt get pipe cleaners vs lizzies.

im kind of in the same boat as you, im not much of a park rat, like when it comes to huge park hit and gnarley rails, i suck.( not saying you do to) but being the type of skier that just loves to play around the whole mountain jibing off of natural shit here and there, and learning all of your basics on boxes and shit, your going to love the elizabeths bra.

i have T-halls along side of my lizzies and bents and i dont like them at all (stiff and unresponsive compared to the elizabeth), so i think id stay away from the pipe cleaner if i were you. just my 2 cents on armada vs. all the soft, playful skis out there like the elizabeths.

i mean they were fast and light and everything, but just too much of a pure park ski for me.

and dont worry about the lizzies and hellbents being too similar of a ski, some people will say that they are way too similar to have both, but theyre not in my opinion, i have the lizzies which are 172 and if your gonna get hellbents as well, make sure you get the 179 or 189 because side by side, last season, my 169 bents and 172 lizzies were like the exact same length, and they actually skied quite simillar except for the fact that you can hella feel the rocker in the bents.( and the bents are a touch softer i think.) this year i replaced my hellbents with 179 so now my quiver makes a little more sence. (hellbents [ my pow ski] being a good few inches taller than my elizabeths [ my all mtn and park ski]. )

but after having the hellbents, i dont even like skiing anything else, i bought the elizabeth thinking it was going to be my hella powder ski, right afterwards is when i learned about rocker camber, now i cant ski anything but the bents, its just too fun. even more fun than the lizzies.

totally my opinion tho so dont just take my word for it. it just kinda sounds like we have similar style/interests in skiing so it feels good to help you out, instead of seeing someone go through pair after pair of skis you dont like. like i did.

Come on dude, ANOTHER thread like this? You haven't made one about every freakin ski yet? If you want an absolute awesome park ski, flip a coin and choose between Anthem 178 or Chronic 176.

i love this part and it seemed vaguely appropriate. yeh they do great on rails and they are pretty light.. I want a pair again..
