Lizzies as a powder ski?

I'm thinking about line elizabeths as the fat ski in my quiver.. at 110 underfoot they're definately fat enough.. but the tips are only 45mm which seems a very small rise for a pow ski.. i'm aware that they are a park ski for pollard... who has lizzies, how are they in the pow and in the trees?
 
a friend of mine has them, said they shred everywhere. im about to get a pair for the same reason as you
 
Such a fun pow ski. The flex enables you to ollie off the powder and length makes tree skiing super quick and easy. Basically the most fun ski I have ever skied in powder. That being said, I still havent had a chance to ski ep pros...
 
nope, they only problem i could see with them is that theyre kinda short (well depending on your size)
 
All depends on your size. Only if you are a little person would I recommend them as a powder specific ski. I have both Lizzies and EP pros and am 5'11 and 140lbs. The lizzies are to me not much fun in powder because they dive a lot on me because of the short length. If you are my size you'd be better off with something else/longer if you are looking for something that will be really good in the powder. If it's any sort of a powder day I'm on my EP pros for sure.
 
I'm not all that short 5'8 or 5'9 but I am very light 125 pounds so thats probably fine for Lizzies length wise.. my other option is the K2 seth.. Am I right in thinking the Seths are a lot heavier than the Lizzies? Which would you recomend?
 
what is the industry coming to? seriously since when has a 110 mm underfoot ski been doubted as a "powder" ski. this is getting rediculous....
 
im 5'9 ish 145 and i rocked lizzies up until a week ago and i can say they are one of the best pow skis ive ever ridden. I would definiteley advise getting these at your size. such sick skis. peace
 
yeh its pretty mad 110 didnt even exist until like 4-5 years ago.. it was actually the low profile tips that bothered me and the potential for nose diving not the width for floating.. so the elizabeth better than the seth for a fun pow ski?
 
yeah my lizzies are so fun. I haven't skied the seth but i think they'd be more fun. i mounted +2 from reccomended. they still do fine in pow but i would mount at reccomended if you're at all worried.
 
i have both and seths are much heavier than the lizzies. I am in about the same catagory as you 5'10 130 ish. The lizzies work great in powder and are overall just a great ski to me around on.
 
so the general consensus is lizzies dont have a 'diving' problem despite the lowish tips?
 
i have the first gen ones and i love them, for what they are. it all depends on what you plan on doing with them, and how big you are. if you are small, they will work for a all around pow ski, but if you are bigger, they feel really soft, short, they get squirley at speed, and you need to lean back to stop the tip from diving (this is not due to tip rise, but the length and mounting position).

if you are stricktly wanting a pow jib ski, no matter what your size, they will be super fun.

if you want a ski to rip and charge and ski everything, you might want to think about something longer and stiffer
 
I was more concerned about the length when I was looking at those, but for trees a 172 ski would actually be a lot better. I am sure they would work out.
