Living in Whistler

So i'm thinking of going to whistler for a couple months next winter to teach and i was wondering where the best place to stay would be, i.e what village? and a chalet or hotel or other?

I'd be looking to stay somewhere where there's quite a good nightlife  but not incredibly touristy, if thats possible.
 
best of luck man, housing is rediculous out here right now, i wouldnt suggest coming out without a plan, if your working for the mountain, your best bet is staff housing, if your real on point and lucky you'll find something else, but theres a mad rush for people looking rightnow and its the slow season, best of luck
 
i heard that staff housing is horrible though, but i don't think i'll get a job witht the mountain half way through the season?
 
if you know anyone in whistler you could see if you could stay with them or try and find someone who is looking for the samthing as you and compile the money
 
look around in the regional forums, don't make a thread though because there is a ton of info, just look a few pages back.
 
yeah dude, itd be fucking expensive to stay in a chalet or hotel for a couple months. and theres really only one village, 2 mayeb if you count blackcomb. find a house
 
There are also quite a few towns just outside of Whistler village (Squamish is the only name I can remember right now.) You might be able to find something in one of them.
