Living by a highway

So today I came home from school because every noise I heard felt like torture. I'm laying here in my room going insane because every 2 seconds a semi truck or a car without muffler goes by. Can any one relate? I'm losing my mind

nope, not really. there is a highway on the other side of the river that I live on, but fortunately it's far enough away that I can't really hear it. I mean, I can hear cars going by at night when it's super quiet outside, but only if i'm standing on the river bank. can't hear shit inside my house.

I used to live next to a busy street, always hearing sirens, cars going by, accidents, etc. I actually liked it, it helped to put me to sleep at night.

There was a huge problem with that In the St.Paul area...then they decided to put up giant walls along side the high way...waste of money and looks just horrible

during the week i live in a flat where there is a small airport (like 10-20 take-offs/landings per day) directly next to it.

my window is maybe 400 ft away from the landing strip and i hear NOTHING. obviously, there arent very big planes around, but i cant recall hearing a plane (except for an eurofighter).

my gf had a flat in the city, in the entry lane. the planes were still 1500 to 2000 ft above the ground, but it was really loud, like really annoying.
